I just heard that my dad won the overall championship at the Japan Folk Song Association’s Miyagi Prefectural Minyo & Minbu Competition today!

His birthday was August 20 🎂 And the very next day, August 21, my son was born, making him a grandfather 😆

Congratulations, Dad—on your championship, your birthday, and becoming a grandpa 🎊
