#Bengaluru: When #Karnataka’s transport minister Byrathi Suresh travelled like an ordinary passenger in #BMTC buses on Saturday night:
* A conductor ordered him to get off the bus not giving proper change while buying ticket
* The minister ordered action against a bus driver & conductor after the vehicle failed to stop for a lone passenger at the bus stop.

BREAKING: One Indian national missing after attack on commercial vessel GFS Galaxy off the coast of Oman; 10 Indians rescued. India condemns the attack
@Mumbainews2@rajtoday 26/11 wasn't restricted to Taj. People died at CSMT and streets too. 26/11 gets more attention due to its scale. 10 terrorists keep a part of our financial capital under siege for over 48 hrs is chilling. Not discounting the train bombings, even a single life lost is disturbing.
So so many tweets attacking IFS officer Dr Satyanjal Pandey for his one hand in the pocket.
When you see something odd, check for facts.
I did not want to say this but Satyanjal sir has a deformed left hand and is handicapped.
That hasn’t stopped him from being one of the most dynamic officers of his career age. He was India’s DHC in Colombo and now C’da in Islamabad.
And yes, he always has kept that hand in his pocket.

Two BMC corporators namely AIMIM's Roshan Shaikh and NCP's Bushra Nadeem Malik, were disqualified on Friday with an announcement being made at the bMC general body meeting, after the concerned District Caste Certificate Verification Committees declared their caste validity certificates invalid.
Roshan Shaikh was elected from Ward No. 138 on a seat reserved for the OBC (Women) category, while Bushra Nadeem Malik was elected from Ward No. 170 in Kurla East from an OBC (Women)-reserved constituency.
This is an incredibly good and rare footage of a sloth bear climbing high into a tree canopy to eat honey from a wild hive. When a sloth bear raids a giant bee hive, it faces thousands of angry stings. Yet, it shrugs them off and keeps eating. How? Evolution gave them a natural defense system. Their shaggy coat is too dense for stingers to penetrate, while a remarkably thick skin shields them from pain. To protect vulnerable airways, bears can voluntarily seal their nostrils completely shut. This physical immunity lets them ignore the swarming colony, focusing entirely on harvesting high-energy honey and protein-rich larvae. It is pure tactical feeding.

The Rs 13,000-crore integrated flood control master plan announced by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday at the ongoing assembly session combines conventional drainage upgrades with nature-based solutions to tackle Mumbai’s chronic flooding problem mainly in low lying areas. BMC officials said the proposal has been presented and submitted to the Centre and the National Disaster Relief (NDMA), which has granted in-principle approval.
Comparable in scale to the Rs.13,983.83 -crore Coastal Road project, the flood mitigation plan will be funded with 40% from the National Disaster Relief Fund and 30% by the Maharashtra state government and the remaining 30% from the BMC. https://t.co/WOrcN6PreR
India's Second Secretary at the @ihcdhaka Puja Jha, objected on the spot after an incorrect map of Jammu & Kashmir as part of Pakistan was displayed during a foreign policy seminar in Bangladesh.
She said that J&K is an integral and inalienable part of India and that the map was "factually incorrect."
Following India's objection, former diplomat Tariq A. Karim immediately clarified that the map was used only for "representational purposes" and "doesn't project actual boundaries.".
#WATCH | Pune, Maharashtra: On the Indian Army operation in the Venezuela tragedy, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin says, “…When the tragedy happened, they were, as always, prepared…They flew across so many hours and reached there in time. They established their hospital in a pre-designed area provided by the Venezuelan government, and they have been imparting care—they did a lot of initial first-aid surgeries. The population was extremely grateful…This particular unit of the Army Medical Corps, which is the 60th Para Field Hospital, is actually known for this right from the 1950s when they were deployed in Korea… We had them deployed in '23 for Operation Dost in Turkey, Operation Ramo in Myanmar, then in Sri Lanka in December of '25, and now Operation Amistad in just this month. That is what constitutes the ethos of the 60 Para…”

Around 19,000 m buildings in Mumbai that do not have an Occupancy Certificate (OC) are likely to get relief as the BMC Standing Committee has approved a resolution to grant OCs to such buildings under an amnesty scheme. Many buildings constructed years ago could not obtain OCs due to minor technical deficiencies, incomplete documentation and delays in administrative procedures. As a result, residents have faced difficulties in property transactions, obtaining bank loans, undertaking redevelopment and availing of various government services.. https://t.co/lNqhj1maFC
