Some people were asking my thoughts on this, and it's not surprising that this popped off from mostly foreign accounts amplifying it while it's mostly ignored in Ireland, because I think the collective response of most here was to roll their eyes at more narcissistic Boomer antics.

I doubt this is a real group, and I don't think anything will come of it except more stunts like this and some really awful AI images they will generate.

But even if it did, it wouldn't achieve anything anyway. Ireland is nowhere near civil war or a Troubles-like sectarian conflict. Civil war requires a genuine division within the elite, but the middle-class here overwhelmingly supports the social-liberal consensus. Isolated acts of violence in such a scenario achieve nothing but solidifying that consensus and justify a further crackdown on nationalists.

Comparisons to our war of Independence are moot: the IRA fully began its campaign after the country voted overwhelmingly for a Sinn Fein government and full independence, and had their national mandate rejected by an occupying force. There were two clearly distinct nations, an overwhelming mandate for independence, a government in waiting with independent funding and tax-raising abilities, and a paramilitary that could rely on local support networks across the island.

But to even engage on this level is probably taking this too seriously. The takeaway is instead of supporting a feasible nationalist organisation like @NationalPartyIE, narcissistic Boomers continually direct nationalist politics into cheap stunts, AI images, pointless protests, larp shadow governments and new IRAs, larp medical enquiries, empty threats of violent revolution, wacky conspiracy theories, vote splitting and forming new political parties every week. Unfortunately they are only encouraged by the international attention.

Given Fianna Fáil's shattering of Irish neutrality in order to support Ukraine, can we now expect the Taoiseach to outline his plan to address Ukrainian manpower shortages by repatriating the 20,000+ Ukrainian fighting age men currently occupying Irish hotels to defend their nation and stop leeching off the Irish taxpayer?

The €125million taken from the taxpayer's pockets and slipped into Zelensky's would be far better spent on remigrating the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of ungrateful foreign spongers overloading the social welfare system.
