Sure this is normal the last 10 years nothing to be concerned about aparently there's a mother and a 2 year old in Dublin 12 on the streets today too .
A mother & her children made homeless by a landlord eviction and then told by Dublin City Council theres no emergency accommodation available.
Utter Government & State failure.
Reinstate the evictions ban.
Take responsibility for this social disaster you have caused.
@CatuWaterford great commentary from Landlord Bill who advised the landlord a text would serve as a valid notice on this eviction and the garda would support .

I have an idea how about we just start building our own units , through a public owned construction company .

I’m sympathetic to tenants who have terrible landlords, but this email from Threshold is not the slam dunk you think it is. Licence agreements using language of tenancy, does not make it a tenancy, or vice versa.
Just for the avoidance of doubt, our members who were forcefully evicted were advised by housing charity Threshold that the eviction was illegal.
Here is a screenshot of the email they received (they have already lodged a complaint with the RTB):
That neither RTE nor Virgin Media have interviewed the journalists from @wereontheditch who broke the Robert Troy story and pursued it for four weeks should tell you just how broken Irish media is.
Irish media is a cesspit of Government propagandists pretending to be journalists
During a cost-of-living crisis that’s hitting private tenants harder than most, a Fianna Fáil minister is letting a one-bed flat in Dublin 7 for €1,550 a month.
The rent is 72 percent higher than HAP rates in the area.

Interesting point here on Dublin rents.
Genuinely don't know how people working in shops, hospitality, etc, afford to live in the city

Incredible story, deserves sharing again.
Galway city council sold an affordable home (meant for those on low incomes) to one of its senior managers.
He's now renting it out!
