This is the murder of democracy in broad daylight.

CCTV footage has exposed how @BJP4India, in active collusion with the @ECISVEEP, is opening ballot boxes without the presence of any relevant party stakeholders. This is gross electoral fraud being committed openly with the full knowledge and protection of the Election Commission.

They have tried every dirty trick, name deletion, voter intimidation, Central Force terror, cash flooding, and failed miserably. Now, in sheer desperation, they have stooped to tampering with EVMs. But Bengal is not Maharashtra, Delhi, or Bihar. We will not sit silently and watch them loot our democracy.

Our leaders Smt. @DrShashiPanja and Shri @KunalGhoshAgain have already begun a dharna outside Netaji Indoor Stadium. Smt. @MamataOfficial will personally visit the spot and take stock of the situation. The people of Bengal are watching this daylight robbery.

We will not allow the Delhi Zamindars and their puppet Election Commission to steal the mandate of the people.

Today, our delegation met @CEOWestBengal and registered a strong objection regarding the repeated and highly suspicious disruptions in CCTV surveillance at multiple strong rooms where polled EVMs and VVPATs are stored.

This is a direct and deliberate violation of @ECISVEEP own guidelines, which clearly mandate 24×7 uninterrupted CCTV surveillance with continuous recording and access for authorised party representatives.

We have made strong demands to:
👉 Immediately compile a complete report of all instances of CCTV malfunction, disruption, or downtime across every strong room in the state.
👉 Provide full, unedited CCTV recordings along with detailed logs showing all periods of interruption.
👉 Restore all CCTV systems to full, uninterrupted functionality with real-time monitoring and accountability for every lapse.
👉 Ensure continuous and unrestricted access to the surveillance feed for authorised representatives as per ECI protocols.

Any attempt to tamper with the mandate of the people through technical sabotage will not be tolerated.

Those who were once banished from their own home state and declared ‘tadipar’ are now coming to Bengal and openly threatening our people to stay indoors on 23rd and 29th. Following their leader’s cue, BJP’s লেঠেল বাহ��নী is going door-to-door, terrorising ordinary citizens and threatening Trinamool Congress workers.

It has come to my notice that these goondas barged into the residence of a Trinamool Congress supporter in Sabang, Sathi Gorai Kuila, and abused and intimidated her in the presence of her two-year-old daughter. BJP, drunk on arrogance, seems to believe that bullets and terror can achieve what ballots cannot.

But Bengal has the perfect antidote. And that antidote will be administered democratically, by the people themselves. I openly challenge the Bangla-Birodhi Bohiragotos to be here, in Bengal, on the 4th of May, when that happens. There will be Rabindrasangeet. There will be DJ music. Make sure you don’t miss it.

The arrest of Vinesh Chandel, co-founder of I-PAC, barely 10 days before the Bengal elections, is not just alarming- It shakes the very idea of a level playing field.

At a time when WB should be moving toward free and fair elections, this kind of action sends a chilling message: If you work with the opposition, you could be next. That’s not democracy- that’s intimidation!

What makes it even harder to ignore is the double standard. Those facing serious corruption allegations seem to find protection the moment they switch sides, while others are swiftly targeted at politically convenient moments. People are not blind to this anymore.

When institutions meant to protect democracy start feeling like tools of pressure, trust begins to erode. On one side, the Election Commission. On the other, agencies like the ED, NIA, CBI stepping in at the most sensitive time. It creates an atmosphere of fear, not fairness.

India has always taken pride in its democracy- loud, messy but free. But today, many are beginning to ask: are we still that country?

This is bigger than one arrest. It is about whether our institutions remain independent and whether every citizen, no matter their political belief, can participate without fear.

Because once fear replaces freedom, democracy becomes just a word.

What we are witnessing is deeply concerning. There are growing indications of a coordinated attempt to interfere with the democratic rights of the people of Bengal - with the BJP at the centre of it and the ECI seemingly looking the other way.

People deserve to know what is happening to their votes. This isn’t a small issue- It goes to the very heart of free and fair elections.

We are receiving credible reports from several districts that large numbers of Form 6 applications (New Voters) are being submitted in a questionable manner. These are not routine additions. There are serious concerns that many of these entries may be linked to individuals who have no real connection to Bengal—people who don’t live here, don’t work here and have no stake in the state.

The video only adds to these concerns. It appears to show thousands of such forms being processed and stacked, raising valid questions about the scale and intent behind this exercise.

We have seen similar concerns being raised in other states during elections. Bengal cannot be allowed to go down that path.

Take a moment to watch this. Ask questions. Because this is not just about politics- it’s about protecting the integrity of our vote. This is the kind of “PARIBORTON” the BJP seeks to impose on Bengal.

The Election Commission must answer.
