Two young lives from Nandigram are beginning a journey toward healing, and I am glad that we could play a small role in making that possible.

During our Sebaashray camp in Nandigram, we learned about two young girls, Suparna Jana and Arpita Dalui, both suffering from complex heart conditions. Their families had been carrying the weight of this struggle, living with the uncertainty that accompanies such serious medical challenges.

The moment their situation came to our attention, arrangements were made to send them to AIIMS, New Delhi, where they can receive the specialised treatment they require. Within our limited capacity, we have ensured that every aspect of their treatment is being taken care of, because no child’s chance at life and health should ever be constrained by economic hardship.

May they return home soon with renewed strength and bright smiles. In the end, the true measure of any society is how gently it cares for those who are most vulnerable.

In 2021, Bengal roared with the call of ‘NO VOTE TO BJP.’ Today, from the dharna mancha at Dharmatala, a fiercer thunder has risen. ‘BOYCOTT BJP.’ Boycott them SOCIALLY, POLITICALLY, and DEMOCRATICALLY for insulting Bengal’s icons, withholding Bengal’s rightful funds, persecuting Bengal’s people, threatening to control Bengal’s ways of life, and above all, conspiring to delete Bengal’s legitimate voters, the most heinous CRIME AGAINST DEMOCRACY since 1947.

They have already claimed 172 precious lives in their greed and lust for power. And for every drop of blood they have spilled, Bengal will ensure their political existence is erased so thoroughly that they won’t even muster 172 booths in the coming days. These Delhi Zamindars have forgotten that the first Chief Election Commissioner of India was a Bengali. So, these Bangla-Birodhi forces misuse that very constitutional body as a weapon against Bengal and its people.

They will pay dearly. Today’s dharna is the beginning of the end for BJP in Bengal. We will not forget. We will not forgive. We will not rest until every vote-deleting, life-crushing, icon-insulting zamindar is sent packing in an Ulta Rath back to Delhi.

Lives are not saved by intention alone. They are saved by systems that are prepared to act when urgency leaves no margin for delay. Sebaashray 2 exists precisely for those moments when healthcare must move faster than fear.

In recent days, this purpose was tested when two elderly patients were brought to the camp in acute neurological crisis, each requiring immediate and specialised intervention.

Seventy-one-year-old Mr. Rabi Biswas arrived after five days of relentless pain and fading strength, his consciousness dimming as bleeding within his skull pressed cruelly against his brain. Seventy-nine-year-old Mr. Nimai Paramanick was brought in unconscious, held by seizures, his speech lost, scans exposing an aggressive brain tumour demanding immediate, decisive action.

There was no delay. No hesitation. Care moved with urgency and purpose. Through life-saving neurosurgical intervention, meticulous monitoring, medication, and constant vigilance, Sebaashray with the help of brilliant doctors and staff became the line between suffering and revival.

Today, both are on the path of recovery. Their families, who arrived gripped by fear, now hold on to hope. Not because fate intervened, but because a system built on preparedness, compassion, and accountability did exactly what it was meant to do when it mattered most.
