Today, I visited the revered Baba Boro Kachari Temple and offered my prayers, seeking the Almighty’s blessings for the health, well-being, and prosperity of the people of Bengal, and prayed that our State continues to move forward in peace and harmony.

This visit also marked an important step in restoring livelihoods. Nearly two years ago, a devastating fire had damaged the stalls adjacent to the temple, leaving several families without their means of income. I am pleased that today we were able to hand over the keys to newly constructed stalls, enabling them to resume their work with dignity.

The people of Diamond Harbour share a deep and enduring bond with me, one built on trust, affection, and a shared journey. As long as I am alive, I will continue to strive to honour the trust they have reposed in me. I remain committed to working tirelessly for their all-round welfare.

Today, the Hon’ble Supreme Court took serious note of the deep erosion of public trust in the functioning of @ECISVEEP in Bengal and the failure in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.

In an extraordinary step, the Court requested the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court to make available serving and retired judicial officers of the rank of District and Additional District Judge to adjudicate Logical Discrepancy cases.

It is learnt that nearly 55 lakh cases remain pending, including documents pertaining to 30 lakh electors that were forwarded to EROs/AEROs for re-verification and are yet to be disposed of.

When inefficiency assumes this magnitude, and when transparency is replaced by confusion, the inevitable conclusion is that the institution has abdicated its sacred responsibility.

Is the @ECISVEEP of the view that directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court can be openly FLOUTED? The highest Court of the land has repeatedly emphasised transparency, due process, and adherence to official channels of communication. Yet we are witnessing instructions being circulated over WhatsApp rather than through formal, traceable, and accountable mechanisms.

Even more disturbing are credible reports of Special Roll Observer, C. Murugan, issuing instructions regarding the acceptability of birth certificates directly to Micro Observers in a WhatsApp group, to inflate deletion numbers. Need I remind the ECI of the Supreme Court’s categorical directive that the role of micro-observers must remain strictly assistive? Why, then, is statutory procedure being bypassed, and under whose instructions?

Additionally, Roll Observers are designated district-wise, yet it is seen that login credentials linked to these observers are being accessed from a central location in Kolkata. Login Data is being misused to generate queries and specifically target a certain community at the direction of ECI’s political masters in Delhi. Should this matter be independently examined, it will be established that the tower location and IP address of the login device differ from the actual location of the concerned roll observer.

The Election Commission derives its legitimacy from PUBLIC TRUST, not POLITICAL PATRONAGE. We shall pursue this matter before the highest court of law. Further, any person aligning themselves with or acting at the behest of Zamindars of Delhi will face stringent and uncompromising legal action. Brace yourselves!

Deeply anguished by the tragic loss of our brave soldiers in the devastating accident in Doda.

Ten courageous personnel laid down their lives in the line of duty and several others were injured while on an operational deployment. This is a reminder of the immense risks our armed forces shoulder each day in service of the nation.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and stand in solidarity with them in this hour of irreparable loss. Praying for the swift and full recovery of the injured.

I am deeply moved and genuinely heartened to learn that Sunali Khatun has given birth to a healthy baby boy at Rampurhat Medical College, Birbhum. This moment of joy feels even more profound against the backdrop of the injustice she was subjected to. In a shocking abuse of power, she was FALSELY BRANDED as a Bangladeshi and FORCIBLY DEPORTED TO BANGLADESH by the Delhi Police and the Union Government.

Her ordeal was a violation of dignity that no citizen, least of all a pregnant mother, should ever be forced to endure. Yet, through it all Sunali displayed extraordinary courage and resolve.

This is a triumph of humanity. Tomorrow, during my visit to Birbhum, I will personally meet Sunali at the hospital to convey my best wishes to her and her newborn. My prayers remain with her family.

Nothing weighs heavier on my conscience than watching people endure suffering in silence, and nothing restores my faith more than seeing that suffering recede when care finally reaches them. It is this promise of relief and dignity that Sebaashray 2 seeks to sustain.

On Day 27 of Sebaashray 2 in Bishnupur, I personally inspected every aspect of the health camp, ensuring that services were accessible, facilities responsive, and dignity upheld at every step.

From the elderly seeking reassurance, to young adults navigating uncertainty, to children arriving with quiet curiosity, each interaction was a reminder that healthcare is not merely a service, but a lifeline. Listening to them reaffirmed my belief that policy must always be shaped by lived realities.

We respectfully request the @ECISVEEP to consider the cases of senior citizens on compassionate grounds, particularly those above 60 years of age who are living with medical conditions or comorbidities. We hope such individuals may be spared from being called for hearings, so as to avoid any undue hardship. HUMANITY must always remain our guiding principle.
