Lead Developer, AI Engineer, Business Owner/Entrepreneur. I should be satisfied but I’m not… because it feels hollow and empty without support and love.
It’s been over a year and it hurts just as much today as it did when she said it. I have no idea what happened or why she lied about so much, but the worst part is she was probably afraid and couldn’t trust me. I needed her, and she probably doesn’t even think about us anymore.
I should feel proud, today I accomplished something I’ve always said I would do… instead it just feels hollow because the person I would have been most excited to share it with and who would have been excited for me said they don’t ever want to talk to me again.
It hurts so much that I was in such a dark place and had no one left to turn to. I feel stuck there, it feels like there’s nothing I can do and I’m never going to be whole so I should just give up.
I can’t think of anything worse in life than realizing how badly you messed up by not telling someone how much you needed them before it was too late. It doesn’t go away or get better, it only gets worse as it eats you from the inside.
Every day blurs into the next,
Staring at another unsent text.
Every night spent tossing and turning,
Pain in my chest, a bitter yearning.
Intrusive thoughts plaguing my mind,
Almost ready to leave this behind.
@Iittlepett Must be nice, my ex basically abandoned me on valentines last year right before my bday and cut all contact shortly after because her toxic friends interfered. I was totally alone this year on my bday just like every day for the past year.
I hate that from the outside my life seems great, but it’s hollow and the things I have aren’t what matter.
I guess it’s a comfort that people don’t see all the shit I’ve gone through, because I don’t want pity. What I want is to know why.
Why don’t I ever get to be happy?
What do you do when you ruin your life and find out it was all lies? How do you keep going when you’ve lost everything?
What good is success and material things when you have no one? How can you move on when you never got to say “I love you”?
I guess the answer is: you don’t.
@Wisdom_HQ Two. It says the couple went on a picnic, it didn’t say anything about their kids or grandkids going. This isn’t a math problem, it’s a logic and reasoning one.
@CryptoG @RWB_American They don’t look at the number, they look at the color and you’ll definitely get a ticket and likely a fine to go along with it. Have fun with that over a couple hundred bucks a year…
@guideforlovers Also, men need to make sure they are being cautious/safe going on first dates too. The same things apply, a woman could be crazy and bring a gun (or a friend).
Just being a man doesn’t make you safe, and a woman bringing someone shows no consideration for the man’s comfort.
@guideforlovers Leave.
If she’s so afraid of people or so clueless she doesn’t know how to be safe on a first date then I wouldn’t want to deal with her in a relationship. It’s one thing to tell a friend/set a check in time when meeting in public for a first date, this is too extra.
@AlexPlsWhy@guideforlovers It’s not hard to be safe on a first date, tell a friend you’re going, set a check in time, meet in a public place, etc.
If you bring a “friend” unannounced I’m going to assume you’re paranoid and I’m walking out. Women who think all men are bad are a red flag.

The problem is money and special interests have a disproportionate influence on elections. They use their influence to sway politicians and uninformed voters, so we need to remove that influence and ignorance.
@WhatvrBro@Geniustechw The cyclist was in the wrong. He has to stop for pedestrians in a crosswalk, and he also swerved the WRONG direction when the pedestrian hesitated in fear of being hit. Cyclists have to follow the same laws as cars, car also should have stopped, but cyclist caused the accident.
@BenRG142@Geniustechw The pedestrian has the right of way in a crosswalk, and the cyclist also swerved to the left instead of the right which is what they should have done when the pedestrian hesitated. Cyclist is legally and also common sense at fault, he should have braked or swerved right.
@Geniustechw The cyclist. When you’re riding a bike you follow the same traffic laws as cars, so pedestrians have the right of way in a crosswalk. Also, the pedestrian clearly hesitates and the cyclist swerves the opposite way he should have. However, the car is also at fault.
