Voice AI needs to learn more than words. It needs to understand how humans actually communicate. 🚀

[falcon @falconqfc4]

It's not just about speaking. It's about knowing when to listen. 🔥

What would make the Google result more actionable? Per-voice results and uncertainty around the lead. @voicearena_ai has a good question to build on.

[Ryha-queen @QueenRyha]

Google wins this comparison. Listeners still usually find the human. You don't have to pick which of those is the story. Together, they're the story.

[Presley Quinn @Glow_Fragrance]

Google's reported Fool Rate is the high mark here, not a universal human-likeness score.
That distinction makes the result more credible, not less.

[Inaya @aiwithinaya]

Google leads on the published launch figures.
I'd be interested in whether listeners identify the same cues in Gemini as in the other models.

[Nisa @aiwithnisa]

Would listeners give different answers for emotional dialogue and neutral instructions?
A single aggregate can hide both patterns.

[jemi @jemi5190]

A good benchmark debate starts with the listener's task. Everything else, including the headline score, comes after that.

[Alishba @PFlashing12253]

The test asks listeners to identify a recording, not establish whether an AI understands language or can hold a conversation.
Important limit on the Turing name.

[Areeba @SharminNahar401]

Fool Rate is easy to explain, but it isn't context-free. The listener pool, human references, and test instructions are part of the number.

[AlphaEcho @Alphaecho207]

The best outcome isn't everyone chasing Fool Rate. It's everyone being clearer about which capabilities they claim and how they measured them.

[Kaito Nakamura @Kaitoo_AI]

Does the best score improve with each release, or does the leader change while the human gap stays similar? A consistent time series could answer that.

[Mayra James @55Mayra]

The most credible evaluation organizations don't need one metric to answer everything. They make the boundaries of each metric clear.

[AlphaEcho @Alphaecho207]

Speaker variety might be why the sample doesn't sound like one trained persona. Would like to see that tested.

[Jasmin @AiwithJasmin]

Many hours from many people is harder to collect than many hours from a few. This went the harder route.

[Areeba @SharminNahar401]

The model sounds like it picked up a range of conversational habits, not one. That's what lots of speakers gives you.
