Q: you all made sacrifices for the long run pace, but do you fear others made even bigger sacrifices and that you'll pay the price tomorrow in the race?

Football is a perfect reflection of life. Everything you see happening happened for a reason, even the things that look completely random.
A broken substitution board sounds like the most insignificant thing, but that tiny incident changed the sequence of events. If it works, Liverpool make the substitution, the game takes a different shape, and that penalty situation may never even happen.
Football is a perfect reflection of life. Everything you see happening happened for a reason, even when you don’t understand it in the moment.
Think about that substitution board. Something as insignificant as a broken board delayed a substitution, which then meant the game continued, which eventually led to another situation, and suddenly people are talking about a penalty that might never have happened otherwise.
That’s literally how life works.
Sometimes you miss a bus and you’re angry because you think you’re late, only to realise later that missing that bus changed the entire course of your day. Sometimes a job opportunity falls through, a relationship ends, someone says no to you, or a plan you were certain about suddenly collapses. At that moment, it feels like something has gone wrong.
But you never have the full picture.
We are constantly judging individual moments without knowing what those moments are setting up. Something that feels like a setback today can be the exact reason you end up somewhere better tomorrow.
You can call it coincidence, luck, fate or whatever you believe in. But life has a way of connecting moments that seemed completely unrelated at the time.
Sometimes the thing you think went wrong is actually the thing that needed to happen for everything else to go right.
