Spent a lot of credit limit testing Seedance 2.5, and the results are beyond expectations.
The output feels genuinely "raw" in the best way — when I hit it with heavy color grading, the colors hold up instead of blowing out into oversaturated or overcontrast mess like previous models. Camera movement is way more dynamic, prompt understanding took a real jump, and the thing that stood out most is character dialogue comes out natural and expressive.
Turned it into a short trailer while I was at it.
I wouldn’t worry about AI production getting flooded with people anytime soon.
The truth is, high-end AI production is insanely labor intensive. In a lot of cases it’s more tedious than traditional VFX/3D because you’re managing multiple moving layers at once: performance, continuity, pacing, camera, environment, character consistency, edits, client notes, delivery, all of it.
Making a cool one-minute trailer is easy. 🤷♂️
Making something consistently high quality, production viable, and precisely what someone is asking for is a completely different skill set.
That’s what people miss.
Most people also don’t want to spend the time learning hard new workflows, especially when they thought AI was supposed to make everything effortless. 🤣😵💫
Even I have days where I look at the computer and dread how much work is ahead of me. But I love it. But we’re in the minority that do, lol.
And adoption is always slower than people think. Getting people to abandon software and workflows they’ve used for years is hard, and generational turnover takes time. I experienced in multiple creative verticals and engineering. People like what they like, til they don’t.
So I think there’s going to be a massive opportunity window for people who actually become great at this.
Long road ahead. Plenty of room to flourish.
Let’s get it. 🔥
Making a 60-second AI trailer is a toy. Delivering an actual production-grade film is relentless discipline. The haterss think AI makes everything effortless, but real pipelines require obsessive craft.
Dustin nails the reality here. The barrier to entry for casual generation is near zero, but the barrier to mastery is sky-high. When you have to control continuity, temporal consistency, performance nuance, and narrative pacing across dozens of shots, you aren't clicking a magic button. You are directing chaos into cinema.
The gold rush tourists will wash out the moment they realize how hard the actual work is. The builders with vision and stamina are the ones who will own the next decade.
Day 0 Launch. 🔥
