A tiny bee just did what chemotherapy couldn't.
Scientists in Australia discovered that honeybee venom can wipe out 100% of aggressive breast cancer cells in under 60 minutes.
And the healthy cells around them? Barely touched.
The breakthrough came from Dr. Ciara Duffy and her team at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, working alongside the University of Western Australia.
They tested venom drawn from 312 honeybees and bumblebees across Australia, Ireland, and England.
The target: triple-negative breast cancer and HER2-enriched breast cancer. Two of the deadliest, most stubborn forms of the disease.
The weapon: melittin. The same tiny peptide that makes a bee sting burn.
At one specific dose, melittin tore through cancer cell membranes completely within an hour. Within just 20 minutes, it shut down the chemical signals cancer cells need to grow and multiply.
Bumblebee venom, which lacks melittin, did nothing. Zero effect, even at high concentrations.
Scientists then recreated melittin synthetically in the lab and got almost identical results, meaning no bees need to be harmed to develop the therapy.
Published in the peer-reviewed journal npj Precision Oncology, the findings are still early-stage. Human trials haven't happened yet.
But one thing is clear. Nature has been hiding answers in plain sight all along, sometimes inside the smallest creatures on Earth.

DEMONETIZE THESE TWEETS. Time has proven that people will do and say anything for money, it’s enough please. Let’s have some semblance of normalcy back on this app
A 16-year-old wheelbarrow pusher should never have ended the day in detention.
During our oversight visit on Monday May 4 2026, we met a teenager who had finished work for the day, along with a local trader going about his evening. Both had been picked up over alleged curfew violations.
They were detained without clear explanations and without access to their families.
Thankfully, a magistrate ordered their immediate release on the spot.
But their experience raises important questions:
Were proper procedures followed? Were their rights adequately protected during enforcement?
When communication fails and safeguards are unclear, justice is put to the test.
This is why oversight matters.
Because no one should lose their freedom without accountability, due process and respect for their rigjts.
We will continue to show up.

5 years ago these kids were living in slums, no education and no hope for a better future.
God go bless you my brother.
You will never do any wrong in my eyes.
You Probably Need to Stop Eating Bread
One of the likely reasons why bread in Nigeria doesn't spoil even after a week, is because they likely added Potassium Bromate to it.
Use of Potassium Bromate for bread making in Nigeria is very rampant.
And yes, Potassium Bromate is banned in over 160 countries, including Nigeria (since 2003/2004 by NAFDAC, led by Dr. Dora Akunyili, officially), but... when has a ban really stopped Nigerians from doing whatever they want to do?
Oh, by the way, according to these research (conducted by Nigerians, in Nigeria, and linked below) Potassium bromate is linked to kidney failure, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain, in addition to being a known carcinogen (a.k.a. any substance, agent, or organism capable of inducing cancer or increasing its incidence by causing DNA damage or uncontrolled cell proliferation)

Sometime last year...i raised a point in supporting the abolishing of iri-ekpe (taking your brother's properties when he die without having a son) in my umunna (kindred)...It didn't scale through....I had to wait for elections of umunna to come...I contested for chairman and lost with 3 votes....then i was made the vice chairman unopposed....The opportunity to put an end to that taking over of a man's properties because he didn't have a son now lies in my own hand.... February 8th 2026 being umunna meeting... chairman travelled to China for business meetings and handed full authority to me to be proceeding on affairs of the meeting...I did what I have to do....I used just one meeting to put an end to that trash.....The only way you can inherit your brother's properties in my umunna currently is if he died without having a child at all and the wife die after and leaving no one else that's when you can now enter.....
We will keep rising!!!!
The moment you have been waiting for is here.

Christian persecution has escalated dramatically in Africa, with Nigeria, Sudan, and Mali ranking as the worst places in the world for the Christian faithful.
Thousands were murdered last year, and millions more were forced to flee their homes.
You wouldn’t know about it if you listened to activists like Don Lemon or Greta Thunberg, but this is the reality of Christian persecution in Africa.
A thread.
