Your grandchildren play a game called Roblox. The man who built it watched his own son disappear into bipolar disorder for five years, then got him back with butter and beef.
Matt Baszucki was nineteen, at university, when it started. His mother knew something had gone badly wrong when her careful, rational son texted her to announce he had achieved enlightenment. He stopped sleeping for days at a time. He could no longer sit through a lecture. He could no longer play chess, a game he loved, because his mind would not hold still long enough.
What followed was the full modern psychiatric experience. Five years. Twenty-nine different medications. Dozens of mental health providers. Inpatient wards, outpatient programmes, the whole apparatus. None of it gave him back.
His father David built Roblox into a company worth more than most countries' health budgets, so this was not a family short of options or access. They had tried everything money could buy. Then they heard about a Harvard psychiatrist using a ketogenic diet for serious mental illness, and a dietitian who had come up through the epilepsy world.
Matt started the diet on the 4th of January, 2021. Within four months his symptoms were in remission. He has not eaten a slice of bread or a grain of rice since. He got stronger, clearer, and by his family's account, became himself again.
If the best psychiatry money can buy still loses a young man for five years, the obvious question is what all that money was actually buying. Management, mostly. A way to cope with the maze. Nobody handed him the exit, because the exit was a change of diet, and a diet does not fund the conference.

Roblox will no longer allow games to sell gamepasses from other games starting from May 29th.
As a mandatory replacement, Roblox is introducing the Transfers API. You must be age-checked or have a linked parental account to either receive or send Robux. Any Robux will immediately be received upon you accepting the Robux. You will receive 90% of the Robux, instead of the previous 60%; however, 10% still goes to the game's creator. To send Robux, you must be subscribed to Roblox Plus. Roblox currently only allows a 1,000 Robux maximum to be sent per month.
You will not be able to cancel any transfer. Additionally, you can transfer Robux on the "Buy Robux" page or by donating it to a user's page.
If you are under the age of 18, your parent must approve each transfer request. Any request not accepted within a week will be sent back to the person who initially sent it.
Any Robux earned from transfers are not DevEx-able.
