“An antisemitic poster entitled, ‘Behind the enemy powers: the Jew.’
Bruno Hanich—1943
“Nazi propagandists frequently depicted ‘the Jew’ as a conspirator plotting world domination by acting behind the scenes in nations at war with Germany. This caricature represents the ‘Jewish financier’ manipulating the Allies—Great Britain, the United States, and the Soviet Union.”
It's a fact that the tendency to scapegoat the Jewish people as the source and cause of calamities, isn't new.
Hearing lunatics blame Israel for the Moroccan invasion of Ceuta, I was reminded of propaganda like this.
"Behind the enemy powers: the Jew."

Spain elects a Spanish socialist who grants amnesty. The Moroccan government begins pushing the tired poor huddled masses to cross the border.
The dumbest, most brain-poisoned people on earth ask how to blame Israel and the Jews for what’s happening.
Thanks for your reply. I think I get what you're saying, but I don't really understand this comment at the end: “...but it goes beyond what the Church requires of the faithful.”
In my understanding, the Catholic ethical framework places great emphasis on respecting the conscience rights of Catholic individuals who may refuse a certain medical treatment on personal moral and religious grounds, even if said treatment has been determined to be permissible under certain circumstances.
Though the dioceses in question aren't mandating vaccines for Catholic students, the refusal to provide religious exemptions is misguided. The clergy in question should be delighted to provide religious exemptions to Catholics who choose to avoid treatments which are likely to have been tested or created using cells from aborted humans, especially when said treatments aren't even medically necessary.
It will never cease to amaze me that people will debase and degrade themselves in this manner in favor of a nonsensical and toxic ideology or simply out of fear of the mob that furthers this idiotic mumbo jumbo.
Under Pedro Sanchez:
- Sex with animals was decriminalized
- Assisted suicide was legalized
- Supervised drug consumption rooms were established
- Sex changes for kids as young as 12 were legalized
- Abortion for 16-year-olds without parental consent was legalized
- A government registry for those caught protesting abortion was created
- The government launched a system to track and crack down on “online hate speech”
- Mass amnesty was granted to 1.5 million African Muslim migrants
This was the trajectory we were on before Trump was elected in 2024. It is how a country is destroyed from the inside.
Does @RonDeSantis regret challenging Trump in 2024? Maybe. I can't answer that. But either way, maybe it's time for MAGA to “forgive” the Governor of Florida.
*********
It would serve Americans well to never forget Ron DeSantis' heroic and decisive leadership during the Covid crisis; leadership that set him apart from virtually every other politician in the country, justifying his state's nickname as the “Free State of Florida.”
DeSantis was deeply troubled by events as they played out during the Trump administration's handling of the Covid debacle, and likely also disquieted by Trump's waning commitment to advancing the principles of social conservatism, especially as they pertain to abortion.
I contend therefore that DeSantis' decision to challenge Trump for the GOP nomination, though ballsy, had nothing to do with satisfying a massive ego, with being hungry for power, or with a casual dismissal of loyalty as a virtue.
It's clear that DeSantis was disturbed by Trump's apparent inability at that time, to defer to the Constitution and to protect the civil rights of Americans during a crisis. This likely served as the primary catalyst behind the difficult decision to run against Trump.
According to Grok, while campaigning, DeSantis repeatedly criticized Trump for “turning the country over to Fauci,” publicly recognizing that through Fauci's Covid directives, millions of people’s lives were destroyed. DeSantis told media that Trump should have fired Fauci and he was critical of any politician's decision to “subcontract out their leadership to health bureaucrats.”
The over-the-top nastiness and absurd fabrications about DeSantis and his wife that emanated from Team Trump during the campaign, is something I'll NEVER forget.
Remember the vile and often juvenile attacks wielded by folks like @alexbruesewitz, @StevenCheung, and @LauraLoomer? (My negative assessments of Bruesewitz and Cheung during that time remain today, but I've since developed some appreciation for Laura Loomer.)
Thankfully, I suspect primarily due to DeSantis' solid character and his ability to focus on what's best for his country, he and Trump are on good terms today, with DeSantis now being an ardent supporter of Trump's administration.
As we consider what the disclosure of Fauci's personal log notes have revealed about HIS character, and the nature and extent of his lies and his crimes, we should contrast that with the wisdom, effectiveness, and courage of Governor Ron DeSantis who recognized Fauci for what he was early on and possessed the integrity to respond accordingly.
I really do hope, for America's sake, that he one day assumes the title of President Ron DeSantis.
Joshua, with all due esteem and respect, I feel compelled to respond to your post.
You are more faithful and learned a Catholic than I'll likely ever be, but I need to suggest that your gifts don't necessarily extend to the provision of wise Catholic dating advice.
First of all, as a woman who's tried to dress modestly throughout my entire life, I know that perceptions of what constitutes modest attire is subjective and wide ranging.
Secondly, I doubt that most men are able to understand the emotional investment and fuss that goes into most women's attempts at appearing attractive for a man they're hoping to develop a relationship with.
If I was feeling out the potential of a romantic relationship that could lead to marriage, and early on the man expressed disapproval of my wardrobe, telling me how I should dress in public, and if I figured out that my response was a test to determine the nature of my relationship to Christ and my worthiness as Catholic wife material, I'd end things so fast it would make his head spin.
Personally, not only would an interaction like this signal to me that I may be dealing with a control freak with an odd system for determining religious compatibility, it would be perceived as demeaning and hurtful.
Discussions that touch upon dissatisfaction with the personal habits of someone you're dating, should arise organically over time, within a relationship where mutual respect and trust has already been established.
@walterkirn Yet another astute observation from Mr. Kirn. This part especially: “This was done, I repeat, by contriving a roster of influencers for those who fancy themselves immune to influencers.”
