Ganesha is not made of Plaster of Paris. You cannot insult a stone. The real insult is to your own consciousness. Man is the only animal who is absurd. He prays to the river, then poisons it. He worships the idol, then drowns it in filth. This is schizophrenia. The true temple is the river, the air, the earth. You spend 11 days in celebration, but where is the meditation? Where is the silence? The DJ and the alcohol are your escapes. The idol is just a toy. If you want to respect Ganesha, respect existence. Clean the river, not just the statue. That would be true prayer.

Article 25 guarantees the freedom of religion, but it is expressly subject to "public order, morality, and health." Article 21 guarantees the right to a clean environment. When an idol made of Plaster of Paris and toxic chemical dyes is dumped into a river, it is not an act of faith; it is an environmental tort. The Supreme Court and the NGT have laid down clear guidelines mandating eco-friendly clay idols and designated immersion sites. The "absurdity" is not the ritual itself, but the willful disregard of the law that protects the very water we call sacred.

Let us be brutally honest. The top comment is not an insult to Ganesha; it is a mirror held up to a society that has lost its way. The law is no respecter of religious sentiments when they become a public nuisance. If you spend lakhs on an idol, drink alcohol, dance to loud DJs, and then treat the river as a garbage dump, you are not practicing religion—you are committing a public wrong. The "Polluter Pays" principle must apply with full force to pandals, municipalities, and individuals alike. The real insult is not the immersion; it is the sheer hypocrisy of poisoning the environment in the name of God. Enforce the law, or stop pretending we are a civilized society.

Islamic law: women sexually protected
Western culture: sexually exploited

Islamic Law: Rape can be punishable by DEATH.
Western reality: A sexual assault happens every 20 seconds and the overwhelming majority ends with NO conviction.

Islamic law: A husband is financially responsible for his wife and family completely.
Western culture: required to split the bills 50/50 in the name of “equality”.

Islamic law: women can work but DON’T HAVE to, and keep what they earn for themselves.
Western Norms: majority of women HAVE to work because at least 2 incomes are required to sustain an average household due to interest rates.

Islamic law: A woman’s money is HERS. Wages, Inheritance. Dowry. Gifts. EVERYTHING.
Western norms: in the event of a divorce… the man in entitled to 50% of all her wealth.

Islamic Law: Men must cover wedding expenses.
Western tradition: Even at her OWN wedding, the bride’s family is traditionally expected to foot the bill.

I BELIEVE ISLAM IS THE MOST PRO-WOMAN SYSTEM EVER REVEALED AND MODERN FEMINISM DOESN’T COME CLOSE.

I’m not talking about countries or culture. I’m talking about true, stand alone, Islamic law.

Show me another system that gives women a better overall package of rights, protections and financial entitlements.

I’m not a scholar and this isn’t a theological argument. Of course Islam is complete and needs no modern ideology or label. I’m simply comparing these rights with what modern feminism claims to stand for.

The bridge between Tipu Sultan & Mahatma Gandhi was Nawab Syed Muhammad Bahadur.
He was Tipu Sultan's great-grandson.
He showed the path of Satyagraha to Mahatma Gandhi.
Very few know that Nawab Syed Mahommed Bahadur formally introduced Gandhi to the nation and paved his way to return from South Africa.
Nawab Syed Mahommed Bahadur, a direct descendant of Tipu Sultan, was one of the leading nationalists of the early 20th century. Service to the nation ran in the blood of Syed Mahommed Bahadur. His father Mir Humayun Bahadur financed the earliest sessions of the Indian National Congress. Heroics of his great grandfather, Tipu Sultan, are well known.
In 1894, Nawab Bahadur took membership of the Congress & rose through the ranks steadily. He was man of secular national vision about whom Pattabhi Sitaramayya wrote, “he was however a Congressman first and a Muslim next”. In 1898, he became a member of Madras Congress Committee and three years later was elected to the Indian Congress Committee. At the 19th session, 1903, he chaired the Reception Committee and the next year was accorded with the responsibility of drawing a constitution for the Congress.
At the 28th session of the Indian National Congress held at Karachi in 1913, Nawab was elected as the President of the session & became only the third Muslim President of the Congress till then. At the session, under his Presidentship, a resolution was passed urging the British Government to ban the indentured labour. A vote was passed which said, “admiration for the Heroic endeavours of Mr. Gandhi and his followers, and their unparalleled sacrifice in their struggle for the maintenance of the self-respect of India and the redress of Indian grievances.” In words of Sitaramayya, “this was the real introduction of Mr. Gandhi to India, if one may say so”. Almost a year later, Gandhi returned to India and was welcomed as a champion of oppressed people.
If this introduction was not enough, Nawab Syed Mahommed Bahadur went on to provide a roadmap for his later political endeavours. Gandhi became a Mahatma as a result of Khilafat and Non-Cooperation Movements, where Hindus and Muslims stood united to save the integrity of Turkey. What Gandhi did after the war, Nawab envisaged all that before the war. In his address Nawab drew attention towards “subversion of the Ottoman Empire in Europe and the strangling of Persia”. He told the audience that the Hindus and Muslims should rally together on this issue and challenge the dictatorial ways of the British Empire.
About the Presidential address Sitaramayya writes;
“This reminds us of the Khilafat Movement of 1921 and its repercussions on the Hindu-Muslim relations in India. ‘The Sick Man of Europe’ (as Turkey was termed in the 19th century) has all along played a notable part in shaping the course of Indian politics. It was under these conditions that at the Karachi Congress (1913) the Hindus and the Muslims closed their ranks.”
He died in 1920, as Gandhi took up the leadership of the national movement.

The Bar Council of India’s decision to halt the enrolment of NALSAR’s 2026 graduating students as advocates, reportedly because they opposed Chief Justice of India Surya Kant being invited as Chief Guest, is grossly disproportionate, deeply troubling, and prima facie indefensible.

Students cannot be collectively penalised for expressing dissent over a ceremonial invitation. The Cockroach Janta Party condemns this order.

If Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra does not withdraw this order immediately, then all law students, advocates, senior lawyers, and well-meaning young cockroaches will protest outside Bar Council’s office and Mishra’s official residence, and their respective states.
