Mumbai is finally witnessing what governance looks like when an honest officer simply does his job with integrity.
Famous eateries such as K Rustom, Shalimar and others are being raided, unhygienic dairies like Parsi Dairy are being shut, and now Maharashtra has introduced stricter food safety rules - free drinking water, no newspaper wrapping, staff health checks, food safety training, stricter hygiene and more.
Makes you wonder, if every IPS, IAS and IRS officer worked with this kind of integrity, how different would India look!
If you still do not know who I am talking about, it is newly appointed FDA Commisioner Tukaram Mundhe. 🫡
Case of Disabled Cadets: See the fun! When the Hon'ble Supreme Court took Suo Motto cognizance of the matter and pressurised the MoD to take a decision on the issue of giving suitable benefits to these Disabled Cadets who were boarded out of the various Training Academies eg NDA/IMA/OTA due to some injuries sustained by them during the training, the MoD finally agreed and recommended to give them the salary of a Lieutenant as Pension, it is Madam Cruelaraman who now sits on it on the pretext that let this issue be taken up by the 8th Pay Commission. As per the rough calculations, the financial impact of this decision is less than 90 Crores in a year for these about 1200 Cadets but yet, the litigation MUST go on for the sake of the Govt Counsels appointed by the Govt otherwise how would they earn. Some people are really incorrigible...

A girl traveling with a valid 1AC ticket was allegedly forced to give up her own reserved seat
because a ticketless VIP claiming to be a "Judge" wanted it.
A guy had booked a Lower Berth for his sister because she suffers from drop foot,
a medical condition that makes climbing to an upper berth extremely difficult.
However, shortly after the train departed, a ticketless woman,
who allegedly claimed to be a Judge, entered the cabin accompanied by the Police and the TTE.
When the family explained the passenger's medical condition and refused to give up their reserved seat,
the woman allegedly threatened to have them removed from the train.
Even more shockingly,
the TTE and the Police allegedly sided with her,
forcing the medically vulnerable passenger to move to the Upper Berth despite her condition.
A complaint was also filed through RailMadad,
but according to the family, no timely assistance was provided.
the biggest question is this
Has VIP culture become more important
than the rights of passengers with valid reserved tickets and genuine medical needs ?
Do you think
a reserved ticket and a passenger's medical needs should ever be ignored because of someone's influence or position ?
What would you have done
if you were in that family's place ?
FDA Effect
Today my son bought Jalebi from regular shop which was coming originally in orange color but todays the color is disappeared.
This is all because of FDA in action under leadership of @Tukaram_IndIAS ji
All eatery shops got lesson on dos and donts and working
As I watched this my heart swelled with pride at having worn that uniform. It symbolises the trust and faith people repose in it - a faith that is never let down.

Mr. Gulshan Pahuja Sent to Jail in Contempt Case
Mr. Gulshan Pahuja was taken into custody today. He is currently under police custody and is expected to be shifted to Tihar Jail tomorrow.
A brief background: Mr. Pahuja has been advocating for audio-video recording of court proceedings since 2014, along with several other judicial reforms. In 2022, he uploaded a YouTube video in which he interviewed two lawyers who had raised allegations concerning the judiciary. Contempt proceedings were subsequently initiated against both lawyers as well as Mr. Pahuja.
The two lawyers tendered unconditional apologies before the court. Mr. Pahuja, however, chose not to apologize, despite the judges repeatedly advising him to do so. Instead of taking what many would have considered the easier path of apologizing and returning home, he chose to stand by his views, knowing it could result in imprisonment.
In the interview, Mr. Pahuja had described the judiciary as "dictators," a remark that formed part of the contempt proceedings.
Last month, I also recorded a podcast with Mr. Pahuja, during which he spoke about what he described as his deeply unpleasant experience during the court proceedings. He said that he was humiliated, ridiculed, and mocked for not being fluent in English. Despite this, he remained steadfast in his position.
Now, after nearly a year of legal proceedings, Mr. Gulshan Pahuja has been sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
