As Japan’s PM begins his India visit tomorrow, two major Japan-backed developments in Odisha:
1. Rs 15,750 crore JFE Steel investment in JSW Kalinga completed.
2. Japan extends CfD subsidy support to ACME’s $3.3 billion green ammonia project at Gopalpur.
India-Japan ties are translating into real investments on the ground.
@OBCC_Odisha Is it 1×1 lane in each side or 2×2, no project display board fixed before work started! Till date encroachment is not yet dismantled & service road is not widened? Is there any exit points to Lochapada from the flyover & @kanilkumarbjp@drpkpanigrahy@NHAI_Official@PWD_Odisha
Thanking you @AshwiniVaishnaw ji for taking out tender for setting up Quick watering system at Brahmapur Railway Station in Ganjam District of Odisha. @EastCoastRail
Thanking you @sasmitpatra sir for raising the issue regarding establishing a UPSC Exam Centre at Brahmapur, Odisha. Earlier I twitted this issue on January 2025. Requesting to raise this genuine demand for lakhs of aspirants in upcoming monsoon session of parliament.
This is not new for Ganjam. Denial of a center of the Cooperative University earlier planned for Gopalpur & shifting it to BBSR is the latest in the series of betrayal for Ganjam by some vested interest sitting in the capital. Sadly, some people want BBSR to grow like a parasite.
Let’s discuss some of the major decisions taken by Congress’s tallest leader, Jawaharlal Nehru.
In 1950–51, King Tribhuvan of Nepal allegedly proposed the merger of Nepal with India. Nehru refused the proposal.
In 1948, the Nawab of Balochistan reportedly wrote to Nehru, formally requesting that Balochistan be allowed to join India. He expressed a desire to remain with India, but Nehru declined.
As a result, Pakistan occupied Balochistan by force. Just think about the price India had to pay.
In 1947, Oman reportedly offered the Gwadar Port to India. Nehru rejected the offer. Pakistan later acquired it and eventually handed it over to China.
In 1950, Nehru allegedly gifted the Coco Islands to Burma, as though they were his personal property. Burma later transferred them to China. As a result, China now uses the area to monitor Indian naval activities.
In 1952, Nehru allegedly ceded 22,327 square kilometres of territory known as the Kabaw Valley to Burma for his own interests. It was said to be as beautiful and scenic as Kashmir. Burma later transferred it to China, enabling China to monitor India from there.
During the 1962 war with China, Nehru allegedly refused to allow the Indian Air Force to fight according to its military plans and instead surrendered, resulting in China taking control of around 14,000 square kilometres of Indian territory.
More than 3,000 Indian soldiers were martyred in that war.
This territory is known as Aksai Chin. Think about the extent of the damage Nehru caused to India.
Soon after Independence, the President of the United States reportedly encouraged India to establish nuclear power facilities and become a nuclear power, but Nehru declined.
India reportedly had opportunities to become a permanent member of the UN Security Council, but Nehru refused and instead supported China. Imagine the strategic loss this caused.
According to this view, Nehru only weakened India’s strategic position. Was he truly India’s Prime Minister, or was he working in Pakistan’s interests? Think about it.
Ganjam loses another Central govt. institute. Tribhuvan Sahakari University (TSU) to be established in Bhubaneswar. On 4th July Union Minister Amit Shah ji will be doing ground breaking ceremony for TSU. Earlier it was decided to establish TSU in Gopalpur, Ganjam.
