Sign and symptoms of southern blight on tomato plant. Only four sclerotia of A. rolfsii was inoculated into 25 kg soil before transplant, but it was sufficient to cause infection. A confirmation of how virulent the pathogen is.

The only down side is the rapid growth of marigold. It can result in compensation with tomato if adequate spacing is not maintained.
