@estellecostanza Hi John, I read Kill ‘Em All last year on a holiday and enjoyed it so much, I went back to the start and read it again. I couldn’t believe how close to the bone the humour was but the satire feels strangely prescient post-Brexit and Jan 6th. Amazing work.
@TrveCvltPop @BigJimTartan Folks have already said Earthtone9, Oceansize and Iron Monkey so would also shout out Eden Maine and Beecher. Both bands that could have been much bigger in different circumstances.
@HelenLOHara I love your sci-fi/fantasy book recommendations. As a newbie to the genre can you suggest some more of your favs? P.S. just started Gideon the Ninth following your recommendation on the Love & Thunder spoiler pod!
@riotact_podcast Gutted to hear this guys but hope you’re both ok.
I’ve loved the podcast and being a patreon over the years. Thank you for the listening experience, especially through lockdown.
Hoping you move forward with something new, there’s an audience out there all hoping you do.
@ChrisHewitt I think that could be podcast catchphrase when running over… all joking aside massive congrats to you and Fola. As the people above said, cherish it, they grow so fast.
@TheNakedPun @AliPlumb @TheNakedPun I’ve not had a chance to watch the film yet so won’t listen but will do as soon as I’ve seen it. Congrats on making it to Radio 1!
@StephenHillBoy Totally. I wasn’t aware of the background context and the podcasts really brought that to life. A couple of genuinely amazing podcasts. Thanks!
@StephenHillBoy So glad you rate this. Didn’t know if their sound would have got diluted so it’s great to hear it’s a good ‘un.
Ps thank you for re-kindling my interest in U2 after your patreon episodes. They were fantastic.
Hey @Discogpod! What will be your next run after Linkin Park? A full series on Tool? A Perfect Circle? Deftones? Faith No More? Thank you for the show. 🙌
@reus85 I was 16 when this came out and I didn’t fully understand it until I saw them live a few months later. Even then, I realised it wasn’t a ‘show’ for them it was a spiritual experience; they weren’t playing songs, they were going through catharsis. Still the best gig I’ve been to.
@reus85 I’ve been A/B’ing this and Burn My Eyes since you posted about them! Two incredibly strong debuts! Your description about Koran’s s/t is so true. Something I’ve been guilty of as I’ve moved onto more underground stuff.
