BREAKING: In a HUGE COUP for the Socceroos, Cristian Volpato has switched his allegiance from Italy to Australia ahead of the World Cup.
His decision comes just days ahead of Tony Popovic releasing his final 26-player squad for the tournament, with Volpato added to the pre-camp squad.
Football Australia are awaiting official clearance from FIFA, and once cleared, Volpato will be eligible to play for the Socceroos.
