@MikeCosper One of my favorite theological voices tweeting about one of my favorite musicians. @MikeCosper have you seen Jason's episode of Norah Jones' podcast? They do a Neil Young cover at the end that is gorgeous.
@MikeCosper Yes! There's a studio version but I love this (I assume) phone recording because hearing the dynamics and watching them work the mic are spellbinding.

As a child growing up in North Korea, I never saw flowers as symbols of beauty or joy.
I saw them as food—silent, delicate things I hoped might quiet the ache in my empty stomach.
Today, in freedom, one of the most unimaginable luxuries I have is this:
to gaze upon these beautiful flowers,
not with the desperation of hunger,
but with peace.
To see them and not wonder if they could keep me alive for one more day.
This is what freedom looks like in its quietest, most powerful form.
Not just the absence of hunger,
but the presence of wonder.
May God help me never forget the cost of this freedom—
and never take it for granted 🇺🇸
RIP Jesse Colin Young. Another great loss to the music world- Jesse Colin Young was a great singer, songwriter, and guitar player. His voice was uniquely beautiful and soulful and his strong sense of melody carried over to his elegantly understated guitar playing. When I was first starting to play guitar I was fortunate to discover people like Jesse whose memorably melodic solos always seemed like part of the song. I learned a lot from listening to, and in some cases, learning those solos. Decades later, when Gov’t Mule played in Hawaii, we had heard that Jesse lived nearby so we invited him to join us and he obliged. He was kind and gracious and sounded great as always. It was an honor to share the stage with him. A better, more enriched world of music exists because of Jesse Colin Young. -WH
@Ferndiggity Love vinyl! But largely because I can find it at the thrift store for $1 😁 have bought new but generally when it's been part of an autograph package or something similar. But your live version of Our Great God on vinyl would be cool 👍🏼
Also there's no vinyl emoji 😔

“Many issues are misconstrued, not because they are too complex for most people to understand, but because a mundane explanation is far less emotionally satisfying than an explanation which produces villains to hate and heroes to exalt.”
