@NickyHorne@ClevelandClinic And of course the skill of the anaesthetist, assuming that you were comfortably numb during the procedure. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
Congratulations to our @AberdeenICUEdu clinical fellow Clare who presented in the top 5 abstracts session at #soa24 this morning. She did a great piece of work on direct discharges.
@PaulOckenden@bazzacollins The problem with Columbia was that the falling debris was able to hit the leading edge of the orbiter. With Starliner, the crew capsule is at the top/front so there’s nothing in front to shed ice or debris which could hit it.
@Hoseasons Hi. My wife has a booking through your company and has been trying to contact to change the booking. She cannot get a response on repeated web chat or Facebook, and can’t find other contact details. Please can you help. She’s spent ages on this already.

@happygeek I loved my Amigas. Remember going online with Miami and YAM. Being able to link everything with their Arexx ports was especially cool. Used an upgraded 1200 all the way through uni til graduation in 02.
@questingvole An excellent and entertaining analysis, but what I’d love is the complementary tutorial on how to fix it. What would you do with that paragraph you highlighted, for example?
@jonhoneyball If you’re doing the tourist sites, especially in the morning, the coffee at Tazza d’Oro just off the square at the Pantheon is superb. Cappuccino the way it should be.
Only 17/50 stars this year: not enough time and I decided to learn vim as I went along. It’s not that many stars (yet) but I’m chuffed that I managed to save and quit and I think I might be a neovim convert.
Thanks Eric for another amazing year. I’ve gone AoC++ for Christmas.
As we approach the final puzzle of #AdventOfCode 2023, I am so excited by how many people participated this year. I hope you've taken this opportunity to learn something new! 🌟
Many thanks to the sponsors and the AoC++ supporters, without whom AoC wouldn't be possible. 💕
@ericwastl I love AoC and look forward to getting up early and ignoring my family every December. But, without a CS background I eventually get stuck despite consulting Reddit. Have you thought about explainers for illustrative problems or a guide for the slow? Anyway, thanks for everything
I’m pleased to say that I graduated MSc with distinction and the class prize in Health Data Science from Aberdeen University today.
I’m very lucky to have a wife who encouraged me to do this while working full time, coming out of the pandemic, and with a one year old at home.
