Just bought a Sony fx3.
Surprised to see Canon playing catch-up to the fx3 of 4 years ago, and still falling short.
Open gate 7k sensor sounds really great, but to me that feature is just more niche than the IBIS and low light performance of the fx3

btw I found its very helpful to throw a curves effect on before the roto, and fine-tune some contrast to make the edges you're finding easier for rotobrush—and of course use the refine edge tool as well as the rotobrush tool

I need to pull articles, videos, images, and record my own narrative around this footage and piece it all together in a dynamic manner, in a sensible and followable way. I need to also make sure my efforts in the graphics side (what I normally do) are being tended to as well.
Working some creative muscles with a project: all I have to work off of is some interesting footage, and a weak idea of a story around it. I'm used to enriching what I have with color and graphics—but in this case I'm forced to CREATE the story in post production.
Every once in a while comes time for a short a break from client work to lock in on a passion project.
