@rangaba@HarshadeSilvaMP Not unusual, Ranga. Around the world, many luxury car buyers choose nearly new vehicles because they save a substantial amount while getting a car that's often barely used. With Sri Lanka's high import taxes, the financial case for quality pre owned imports is even stronger.
@rangaba It has been a long overdue desire of interested parties to have Buddhism crushed in Sri Lanka as the majority faith and establish alien faiths. This is no surprise
The South-West monsoon is arriving over Sri Lanka
Heavy rain in some areas, yes… but also misty hills, roaring waterfalls, cooler weather and beautiful journeys.
In Sri Lanka, rain is not bad weather. It’s part of the experience

@sonaljay8 Sri Lanka is heading into another crisis and this was inevitable. No point in talking about local offers, etc as very soon locals will not be in a position to afford much
@sonaljay8 The big boss is asking citizens to be Swadeshi and avoid foreign travel including destination weddings. So how will things work out for Sri Lanka with India as a key market? Perhaps there is a further opportunity in this for Sri Lanka to capitalize if we do get it right?
@Zacchariahshums@rangaba Why don't we ban the import and the sale of such items into the country? I mean if these things are illegal and a nuisance / hazard to the general public, why import them in the first place
@rangaba Why don't they ban the import and sale of such items in the first place by law? They should deal with the issue at source by prosecuting and shutting down people / places that provide these services
@samarajiva These developed countries got there by stealing from the East. The so called economic system that we are forced to be a part of was built through stealing and plundering.
@sonaljay8 In 2021 the SLTDA commissioned a study to figure out the actual cost of a KM for a car. With all variables considered, the study concluded that the actual cost per KM is LKR 114. This was in 2021, now costs have gone up. With lower app prices, where is the benefit to the economy?
