@meralco Extremely disappointed. Today we were informed that the electricity in our residence in Manila had been disconnected.

Back in April 2026, when we received a disconnection notice, we immediately contacted Meralco to raise two serious concerns:

1. Our bills have always been paid on time via BPI Online, and we have the email confirmations and payment records to prove it.
2. The amount stated in the printed bill did not match the amount sent to us via email.

We submitted all the requested documents and payment transactions by email, believing the issue had been resolved because they never replied after that. So we keep paying bill we received via email monthly and last bill we received was only around ₱37.

Yet when my cousin recently visited our unit, we discovered that the electricity had already been disconnected.

Electricity is not a luxury—it is a basic necessity.

It’s frustrating that ordinary Filipinos have to spend so much time proving they have paid because of administrative errors or poor coordination.

Government agencies and utilities should focus on providing reliable, accountable public services before celebrating grand ambitions. Before talking about rockets and space programs, let’s make sure people have access to the basic necessity.

Filipinos deserve better.

In less than 10 hours, the TA bypassed perimeter firewalls, exfiltrated Vault secrets, hijacked GitHub CI/CD pipelines, and backdoored active production K8S nodes.

The TA also released a comprehensive 80-page technical report detailing its findings and remediation recommendations.
