This is brutal😢 So many students have moved into halls before this guidance came in & are now, essentially "stuck" away from home with people they don't really know, doing their classes on MS Teams. The guidance makes sense, but doesn't make it any less devastating

Was asked last night whether students in halls and flats can go back to parents’ homes. To clarify, they are a separate household. There are exceptions, eg caring responsibilities, but the law is clear: they can’t meet indoors with another household – even mum and dad. Sorry.

Been a student (4yr), an elected officer (2yr), & a staff member (13yr) at several SUs. I've seen the +ive impact they have on the lives of those most in need. Easily the best value for money in the Ed sector for their evidenced output & impact #LoveSUs @nusuk @NUSScotland 💜

6 months to the day since we shut the @ECSAonline offices & moved the entire organisation online. It has been a tough 6 months, but trying to take some time to reflect on all that we have achieved and be thankful for working in such a rewarding sector @edinburghcoll
