Recently fired Prof. Mary Bassett explains how "viewpoint diversity" doesn't include Palestine, in a year-long pattern of censorship & firings at Harvard, despite strong student interest—part of a misguided campaign equating criticism of Israel & Palestine support as antisemitic.
"Harvard’s guiding imperative is defending the restoration of $3 bil. in fed. grants, which apparently means appeasing those in the Trump administration." If uni.'s don't stand up for scholarship, truth, & open discussion of diverse analyses, education/knowledge will pay steeply.
Mary Bassett: "Harvard University leaders have been soliciting wealthy donors for $10 million contributions to fund endowed professorships with the stated goal of expanding “viewpoint diversity” on campus. Pardon me for finding this hypocritical." https://t.co/FqFlQYSUsj
