We should learn from China. Evolve and use own apps/social media.

I know China is not a democracy and Govt can impose its will on people and extremely difficult for doing this in a democracy like India.

But few steps like these can be taken. Some of them have already been taken by few countries.

1) Ban SM for anyone below 16
2) Make it mandatory for all govt departments to use homegrown apps/sites only.
3) Another start can be made with making it mandatory for all educational institutes. Parents will start using these and adoption will increase.

Prepare a list of alternates. And publish. And appeal to Indian public to use these.

Of course, Indian population also needs to play its part.

Ashwini Vaishnav ji has a lot on his plate with Railways and he is doing a great job there but the other two ministries are completely defunct and virtually headless.

In the absence of dedicated ministers, I fail to understand what kind of fools are currently running I&B and IT ministry Sir that they are sending nationalist handles notices for reporting abusive posts, rather than acting against the abusive posts.

India needs a full time I&B + E&IT minister or else Govt will keep losing the information war as it just did

@trafucked @b50 Most of these ministers have resigned due to corruption. None of the above have resigned due to a paper leak. I have specifically mentioned paper leak as an issue & resignation due to that.
