Attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Tea Research Association (TRA), where innovative solutions based on nanotechnology from IFFCO for tea gardens were launched. It is a significant step towards the future of sustainable tea cultivation in the country. The programme was also attended by Shri Pabitra Margherita, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Shri C. Murugan, IAS, Dy. Chairman and CEO, Tea Board of India, Shri Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director, IFFCO, Shri Suneel Singh Sikand, Chairman, TRA, Shri Rajvinder Singh – Vice Chairman, Shri Joydeep Phukan, Secretary, TRA, Dr. Venkatesan Selvaraj, Director, TRA, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Shri Sunil Kumar, SMM Assam & NE.

Rooted in four years of joint trials by TRA and IFFCO, these innovations have demonstrated promising yield gains of 8–14%, opening new possibilities for healthier tea gardens and more productive cultivation. In a significant initiative to recognise farmer led innovation and promote agricultural transformation, IFFCO launched a book, “Champions of Change: Profiles of NanoFertiliserProgressive Farmers and Success Stories,” of Farmers of Assam & NE states at the 62nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Tea Research Association (TRA), Kolkata. The
launch marked an important milestone in IFFCO’s efforts to document the experiences of progressive farmers and showcase the potential of innovative agricultural technologies in strengthening farming practices across Assam and the North Eastern region.

Published by IFFCO Assam, the book brings together inspiring farmer profiles, field-level experiences and success stories highlighting the use of IFFCO Nano Fertilisers across diverse crops, including paddy, tea, vegetables and oilseeds.

Drawing upon field demonstrations, crop observations and initiatives across different agro-climatic zones, the
publication captures the experiences of farmers who have explored innovative nutrient-management practices and adopted new agricultural technologies in their fields. The publication also reflects IFFCO’s commitment to placing farmers at the centre of agricultural development. By documenting their experiences and recognising their contributions, IFFCO seeks to strengthen the connection between agricultural innovation and its practical
application in farmers’ fields. The book also serves as a valuable knowledge resource for farmers, agricultural extension workers, researchers and other stakeholders working towards improved productivity and sustainable agricultural development.

Had a wonderful and inspiring interaction with the group of Field Officers during my visit to the IFFCO West Bengal State Office. Reviewed their performance, shared valuable insights, and discussed strategies to strengthen sales and marketing efforts for the upcoming season. It was truly heartening to witness their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to serving the farming community. Encouraged our Field Officers to continue giving their best with passion, sincerity, and a strong sense of responsibility towards farmers, soil health, and sustainable agriculture.
Together, let us move forward with the true cooperative spirit of “Farmers First”, working hand in hand to enrich our soil, empower our farmers, and build a prosperous agricultural future. It was a pleasure and a privilege to attend Ramjhat 2026, organised by the Shree Delhi Gujarati Samaj at the Delhi University grounds, as the Chief Guest.
Ramjhat is a wonderful celebration of Gujarati culture and community spirit, bringing people together through vibrant cultural activities, traditions, and shared values. I was delighted to be part of this memorable occasion and to witness the warmth, enthusiasm, and togetherness of the Gujarati community.

रामझट गुजरात की समृद्ध संस्कृति, परंपराओं और समाज की एकता का सुंदर उत्सव है। यह ऐसा अवसर है, जो लोगों को एक साथ जोड़ता है और हमारी संस्कृति एवं परंपराओं को करीब से महसूस करने का मौका देता है। रामझट 2026 के आयोजकों की ओर से मिले स्नेहपूर्ण स्वागत और सम्मान का हृदय से धन्यवाद। इतने बड़े उत्साह के साथ बड़ी संख्या में लोगों को इस आयोजन में शामिल होते देखकर मन बेहद प्रसन्न हुआ।
इस दौरान मैंने विभिन्न स्टॉल्स का भी दौरा किया और वहाँ कारीगरों द्वारा तैयार किए गए सुंदर हस्तशिल्प और अन्य उत्पादों को देखा। रामझट की रौनक, लोगों का उत्साह और अपनी संस्कृति के प्रति उनका प्रेम देखकर दिल खुशी से भर गया। ऐसे आयोजन हमारी परंपराओं को आगे बढ़ाने के साथ-साथ समाज में आपसी जुड़ाव और भाईचारे को भी मजबूत करते हैं।

गुजरात के वीर सपूत और मेरे अमरेली जिले के सावरकुंडला के दामाद कैप्टन स्मित मच्छर ने अपने अदम्य साहस और कर्तव्यनिष्ठा से पूरे देश का मस्तक गर्व से ऊँचा किया है।

दुबई से तेल अवीव जा रही फ्लाईदुबई की उड़ान FZ1073 में हुए हमले में गंभीर रूप से घायल होने के बावजूद उन्होंने असाधारण धैर्य और सूझबूझ दिखाई। समाचार रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, उन्होंने कॉकपिट का दरवाजा खोलकर यात्रियों और चालक दल को हमलावर पर काबू पाने का अवसर दिया। इसके बाद विमान में मौजूद अन्य पायलटों ने उसे सऊदी अरब के तबूक हवाईअड्डे पर सुरक्षित उतारा।

उनके साहसिक प्रयासों ने 174 लोगों की जान बचाने और एक बड़ी त्रासदी टालने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। संकट की घड़ी में अपने प्राणों की परवाह किए बिना दूसरों की रक्षा के लिए उनका यह समर्पण हम सभी के लिए प्रेरणादायी है।

It was a privilege to be part of the celebration of the International Day of Older Persons and the 13th Annual Day of the Senior Citizens Welfare Association, IFFCO Colony, Gurugram, held at the IFFCO FMDI Auditorium.I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the entire Senior Citizens Welfare Association for organising such a meaningful and inspiring programme. The theme “Active Seniors, Stronger Society” beautifully reminds us that age is not a limitation, but a reservoir of experience, wisdom, values and contribution. Our senior citizens have played an invaluable role in shaping our families, institutions and society, and their guidance continues to enrich generations.

Had a truly enriching meeting today with Shri Sachin Shah, President of Shree Delhi Gujarati Samaj, along with other members Shri Shibaji and Ms. Dipti Ji at IFFCO Sadan, New Delhi. They shared the Samaj’s rich history, its vision, and the quiet, consistent work it has been doing for well over a century in education, cultural preservation, guest facilities for travellers, and community welfare. Organisations like this remind us that real service is built over generations, not headlines. Deep gratitude to the entire team for the work they continue to do for society.

It was a pleasure to attend the 4th Annual General Meeting of Bharat Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) at IFFCO Sadan, New Delhi. With over 12,000 delegates joining virtually and 200 delegates attending physically, the AGM reflected the strong participation and collective commitment of the cooperative sector towards strengthening Indian agriculture. I was honoured to address delegates from across the country and highlight the growing importance of food security and sustainable agricultural productivity. To meet the evolving needs of our farmers and the nation, we must focus on improving soil nutrition and seed quality; the two critical foundations for enhancing both the quality and quantity of agricultural yields.

My best wishes to Sh. Yogendra Kumar, Chairman, BBSSL, and all the delegates and stakeholders working towards building a stronger, more resilient and self-reliant agricultural ecosystem.
