“Things are going to get worse."
"This is the new extinction."
"We are in terrible, terrible trouble and the longer we wait to do something about it, the worse it is going to get."

Democracy only works when people have access to the facts. That's why I'm supporting @ChrisGPackham's petition calling for a UK-wide public briefing on climate and nature risks.

Poultry sector growth plan risks UK national security, campaigners warn @guardian
“Intensive poultry farming is highly resource-intensive, polluting and inefficient, so it can never be a solution to food security”
#FactoryFarming is also bad for our health, horrendously cruel to animals and bad for the environment

Erin Brockovich on data centers: “You’re pushing people too far at this point. You’re taking their water. Their air is jeopardized. Their land is jeopardized. Their sanctuary is jeopardized. Their wildlife is jeopardized. The trees, the rivers, the creeks, the birds, all of it”
Shocking
"Over the past century, #England & Wales have lost 98% of wildflower meadows."
"We have also destroyed half of Britain’s ancient woodland, half of lowland ponds, 90% of freshwater #wetlands and 62% of all “farmland” wild #birds."

Unbelievable - the Church of England has voted against plan to rewild 30% of its land by 2030. Where’s the moral leadership in that?
Congrats to @wildcard.land & all who campaigned for them to act responsibly - it shows we need laws not just persuasion https://t.co/6nqTz47axW

We continue to see record breaking temperatures and dangerous levels of heat which all adds stress to our precious animals, plants & insects
Pls spare a thought for our fellow species be they domestic, farmed or wild
Don’t travel with dogs or walk in heat, put out water, top up ponds, put out food, ditch disposable BBQs etc 🙏

If you want to help the birds in your garden, just add water - especially in a heatwave!
Here are two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, juvenile and adult female, drinking and bathing in my Suffolk garden, summer 2026.

"The report paints a devastating picture of severe food shortages, price rises, migration, political destabilisation and possible war, resulting from the collapse of ecosystems, fuelled by the human-induced #ClimateCrisis and over-exploitation"

PLEASE THINK OF WILDLIFE IN THIS HEAT! 🥵
It's been VERY warm here in the UK recently and our native wildlife need help just as much as we all do!
With temperatures set to remain high, please make sure to leave a bowl of fresh water out to give thirsty animals a little helping hand. One dish up high for birds and another on the ground is ideal!
Who knows how many lives you will help by doing so!
