We ran computational edit-distance analysis across dialects. Early findings:
- Male' ↔ Addu: ~80.8% lexical similarity
- Male' ↔ Huvadhu: ~60.0% similarity
- Male' ↔ Sinhala: ~29.9% cognate similarity
100% open and free for linguists, NLP researchers, and developers.

Data shows that male mortality is consistently higher in the Maldives

In 2025:
Male deaths: 858 (61%)
Female deaths: 540 (39%)

Men recorded more deaths than women in nearly every age group, especially between 15–64 years.

Compiled the Maldivian Nakaiy lunar calendar dataset from Hassan Ahmed Maniku’s 1989 book NAKAIY
It comes with
- 27 Nakaiy periods
- Dhivehi & Arabic names and transliteration
- Traditional weather patterns, fishing predictions & cultural lore
