@justindsweeney Technically, it is censorship. It doesn’t violate the 1st Amendment, as any platform can censor. Churches can kick people out, employers can censor and do (as long as it’s not protected speech). The question isn’t whether it’s censorship to me.
The absurd POV is this. Historically, most humans have worked harder, worked more, and made less. This has little to do with capitalism. In order for people to eat, food must be raised. Housing must be built. Children must be taught. This all requires a lot of work
how do people wake up, work 40 hours a week, a 9 hour shift everyday and think “yes, this is the way of life” without questioning how absurd capitalism is
Completely disagree. The characterization is great. It feels like a Western. It’s fun. It’s Star Wars. You don’t like it? Cool. But it has connected with millions of fans. With very few exceptions, that means it has substance.
The big problem with #TheMandalorian is that it's all just eye candy with no substance. Baby Yoda is cute... the special effects are good... and you get to see live-action Clone Wars characters. That's literally all there is to this show.
@ac_hutchens ASM is a terrific movie. I thought 2 lost it. But man I loved the first one. These scenes are amazing and the story was good. Very underrated.
