I don’t want to be long winded here, but my meditation today illuminated a teaching point I think may be relevant for many of us. I used to be a super jealous teen, I ALWAYS wanted what someone else had. Not to take from them, but to indulge my own.

That thought picked at me in 5am workouts, and midnight shooting sessions. It drove me to the brink of retirement even as adults. It made me feel like I wasn’t enough to compete with even my own friends. But in hindsight, what he had was the ability to focus on his race.
