Starmer makes wild accusations about what I'm responsible for- but my pro-growth policies weren't actually implemented (with the exception of getting rid of Sunak's Health and Care Levy).
The havoc was caused by the Bank of England/economic establishment and their allies in the Conservative party in order to STOP them happening.
This was an extraordinary undermining of a Prime Minister who had the mandate to deliver those policies.
The problem cannot therefore be the policies (in fact the counterfactual has driven up debt and stymied growth). It's bigger than that.
All of the attacks and smears on me since are an effort to cover up how deeply undemocratic the British system has become.
For the first time, Dispatches can reveal the secret millions the Royals are earning.
For years they've kept the details of some of their wealth a secret but now we can reveal who is paying them and for what.

The Tories achieved one unbelievable thing during their 14 year reign of horror and I’m not even sure if it was by skill or chance (or the extremely rich and powerful people playing them like marionettes) but…
They managed to flood the zone to the extent that millions of people, despite knowing and remembering their crimes and scandals, simply don’t care.
People don’t. You mention it and they shrug. You point out the facts and they recall but it just doesn’t register. They will just bark that Labour is exactly the same.
It’s like nobody gives a fuck about reality anymore.
They managed to debase politics to such an extent that it all became normal. Virtually every method of communication we have in this country is riddled with Tories, bias and corruption. Thats not an understatement. They leave office and become editors at papers, for fucks sake.
They know people will uncritically parrot what they hear on the radio, or read as a headline, despite it being bias heavy and opinion based, not factual. They can make millions of people believe utter bullshit to the point that they will go out and vote against their best interests.
Despite being elected to represent all people without prejudice, they fanned the flames of racism and xenophobia to the extent that everyone is more focused on hating the minority group they scapegoated.
Meanwhile, they casually walk away from the remains of the country that they have broken and robbed. To add insult to significant injury, some of them have the fucking gall to critically point the finger at a significant clean up operation (which is only underway because of them shitting over everything) on their way out.
It’s like the last 14 years didn’t happen and it’s fucking enraging to watch.
Former Tory minister Michael Gove is the new editor of The Spectator magazine. With many issues going back decades, poor circulation and lots of unusual features, Michael Gove is 57
@MarinaHyde@MarinaHyde the comment that "this country...has a habit of looking the wrong way" is the truest statement! Cf. The Guardian article last week on the SFO. The UK is poisonous.
