I picked up this wonderful little book in @categoryisbooks today when I requested trans masc gay representation and I was not disappointed If you’re sick of seeing trans masc characters presented at straight soft and completely asexual this is a book for you WE GET TO BE ADULTS

Note - the violence isn’t related to the characters trans identity and even the antagonists gender them correctly. One incident of misgendering which was passingly and likely accidental

There multiple studies that prove being gay or being trans is part of who someone is and for every story of a young person being “saved” by this there is thousands of others who are simply traumatised

LGBTQIA+ youth have alarming rates of suicide and this is a direct link right here. It should be illegal because a. It’s torture and b. It portrays heteronormativy as more desirable
