Honoured to have attended the @_BrightFocus#GlaucomaFastTrack and ISER/BrightFocus Glaucoma Symposium here in Atlanta! It’s been an inspiring few days connecting with innovators from all corners of the globe shaping the future of #glaucoma research & patient care.
That's a wrap on Glaucoma Fast Track 2025, where early-career researchers from around the world gathered in Atlanta to learn from experts, present their work, and build the networks that will carry glaucoma research forward.
This was our fourth Fast Track workshop—and each time, we're reminded that breakthroughs don't happen in isolation. They happen when talented researchers get the mentorship, resources, and community they need at the right moment in their careers.
Now, we move forward to the ISER/BrightFocus Glaucoma Symposium, where the momentum continues.

Since open vein hypothesis was first proposed, research has revealed additional contributors to PTS, including genetic predisposition, thrombophilia, inflammation, fibrinolysis, and treatment timing, prompting a refined approach.
Initially focused on rapid thrombus removal, OVH now emphasizes maintaining long-term vein health, addressing PTS drivers, and incorporating multidisciplinary care for better outcomes.
