ISC schools provided more than £1.1bn in fee assistance last year, over £500m of which was means-tested.
Over half of all pupils on means-tested bursaries have more than half of their fees remitted, and many pay no fees at all 👇
After successful years of building a culture of T&L in my current post, I am actively looking for a new challenge from January 1st.
The new challenges could involve:
- Assistant/Dep Head
- Trust Lead/Director of T&L / PD
- Teaching Hub/Research School roles
RTs appreciated
@FrankWNorris@HCFEprincipal Because if we want reliability it has to be objective marking which you cannot have with essays. So we make the choice. So ‘we’ have to decide what we prefer: reliability which would mean short answers or multi choice or the ability to demonstrate nuance which allows validity.
@FrankWNorris@HCFEprincipal I’ve been in meetings with people from Ofqual and their line is you have to choose between reliability and validity. As a system, we have chosen validity ie the grades do represent the quality of responses. But we sacrifice reliability.
Jennifer Pearson’s YA debut, Drop Dead Famous, recently clinched by @simonkids_UK in a six-figure pre-empt, has been racking up international deals at the @LondonBookFair 👇 https://t.co/DeDfkVYw1c
@AlexJQuigley I would say no. And sometimes it’s counterproductive. Last year we had two pupils apply for the same course at the same uni. One got offered A*A*A*, the other A*A*AA. Still not sure which was harder to get. Only when F Maths is involved is 4 important (even then Increasingly not)
@VodafoneUK my broadband was supposed to be connected yesterday. I had numerous texts and emails saying all was fine and it would work yesterday. No service and the account isn’t showing up in my app. No one seems to want to help.
