@FWC26Toronto Seriously? Again? Have you looked at the radar?? We have light rain outside today this morning. The event says "rain or shine". Come on!!
First and foremost, I want to thank God for His protection and divine intervention. I’m grateful to share that after being evaluated and cleared by the medical team, I’m doing okay.
Thank you to the incredible medical staff, trainers, and support personnel from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers organizations for the care, professionalism, and quick response.
Shoutout to my teammates, coaches, family, and everyone who reached out, prayed, and showed support to me & my family.
@naim92_@FWC26Toronto Have you looked outside? Do you see sun? Is there a storm? Have you checked the radar at all?
Common sense said go inside for 5mins then continue the event the city paid $380m for.
@naim92_@FWC26Toronto You might not be aware but theres a giant concrete structure running an entire freeway with ample room to hid folks for 5mins while it rained right by the entrance for a good 500m.
There's also a giant retail shop to hold people for 5mins of rain.
My God.
@DayDrinkingMan@FWC26Toronto When thunder and lightning shows up for longer than 5mins then let me know. 7hr even doesn't need to be shut down bc there might be lightning for 5mins.
@DayDrinkingMan@FWC26Toronto Did you look at the sky or the radar? Its not raining, its not cloudy. There's no lightning. There's no thunder. That has been the case for an hour. And will be the case for another hour at least.
@CRD_302@jcalvinmeyer You dont throw a ball at a professional baseball player in the middle of an inning. Fan was wrong, an idiot, and rightfully kicked out.
Sanchez said he never asked for the ball, wasnt trying to play catch. Fan shouldnt have tossed it. End of story.
Sanchez said his wrist "hurts a little bit but thank God there's no fracture. I'll be all right."
He also said it was an isolated event and not an ongoing back-and-forth with the fans: "It was a big surprise, of course. I wasn't imagining that was going to happen."
Jesus Sanchez, through Blue Jays interpreter, on getting hit by a fan Sunday:
"It was a misunderstanding. I wasn't trying to play catch right there with them. I just looked at them and they thought maybe that I wanted them to throw the ball back to me."
