How did Palantir embed itself inside the British military?
Through a shameless revolving door and a series of massive unadvertised contracts.

This High Court ruling gives the government unprecedented power in determining whether or not a group may become a terrorist organisation in the future.
@GreenJennyJones "This government is out of control".

We are at a strange point in the climate crisis. On one hand, growing evidence that the AMOC could collapse more swiftly than thought, with catastrophic consequences for Europe. On the other, politicians trying to justify more North Sea drilling. https://t.co/k2a7qlvACL
A judge has sentenced the Filton 4 as terrorists, behind the back of the jury, who only ever considered charges of criminal damage.
This grotesque distortion of the law tightens the screws on the public’s right to protest, placing more limits on our freedom to fight injustice.
This is how Belfast looks on my femicide map.
Each of the ~1,000 pins is for a woman or girl murdered in Belfast between 1900 - 2025.
Almost all of them murdered by men and mostly by the type of men who were strolling around Belfast tonight wrecking their own city. /1
Violent enforcement.
Suppression of protest.
In Herat, the Taliban have been arresting women for what they deem “improper” hijab. Women are seized violently, beaten, and taken directly to the city prison. 1/3
It's time to take the contract for Question Time away from the company that produces it for the BBC. A company that has persistently overrepresented right wing ideology, has been actively enabling creeping Fascism and is now shilling for the Tony Blair Institute and its funders.
Imagine a stranger sitting across from you on a train. Through their glasses, they could see your name, your social media, your mutual friends and where you work, go to school or hang out.
This is the world Meta want ⬇️

A closed season to protect pregnant hares was promised, but where is the legislation? It's abhorrent to think that they can still be shot during the months when they are pregnant or raising young.

Today is the private members' bill ballot.
Your MP needs to see this message:
You voted for choice. For compassion. You listened to dying people and made a promise.
An unelected few tried to break your promise.
Don’t let them.
It’s time to back the bill again.

“The whole point of Justice in this country is you be judged by twelve of your fellow citizens. If it’s a judge that changes everything. Judges are not reflective of the population. 90% of them are white, 65% are men, by definition they’ve had a university education – that would be justice decided by a certain sector of society”
Now there's a very, very good question.
Thames Water have now admitted that they are not treating (dousing) their sewage for phosphate due to a "supply issue". That by the way has a massive and negative impact on water quality and aquatic life.
Funny they didn't mention any of that until they were called out on it.
How many other WCs I wonder are having supply issues?
Spraying one dandelion with Roundup can kill over 100 bees.
The flower doesn't die instantly. Bees will keep visiting it for days, taking the poison back to their nests and hives.
Never spray dandelions in spring and summer.
They're one of the first major food sources for emerging pollinators.
Let them bloom or remove them by hand.
What a sickening loss of nature! 👇The contempt for our precious nature is palpable.
But my question is ....why was this company allowed to repeatedly breach rules? @nationaltrust
Farmer destroyed National Trust land killing rare plants and wildlife
A farming company has been fined after a court found it repeatedly damaged a protected wildlife site near Mwnt, Ceredigion, putting some of Wales’ rarest plants at risk. Jenkins Ty Hen Limited was convicted at Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 5 May, after years of breaches at a protected Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
The company was fined £9,000 and ordered to pay £8,940.66 in costs and a £2,000 victim surcharge. The court also imposed a 10-year restoration order aimed at repairing the damage.
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) brought the prosecution against Jenkins Ty Hen Limited, which farms land owned by the National Trust, after what it described as repeated rule-breaking over nearly a decade.
According to NRW, fertiliser, slurry and herbicides were used on the protected land without permission between 2017 and 2025, despite warnings, meetings and formal enforcement action.
Investigators said some of the damage happened even after the farmer had been formally warned and invited to attend an interview under caution.
The site is home to more than 60 species of arable wildflowers, including several extremely rare plants linked to ancient farming. Many of the species are now scarce across Wales and the wider UK.

Another horrific crime against women in Afghanistan: Farzana, 18-year-old mother of a small child, became a victim of domestic violence in Pasaband district of Ghor province. After severe torture and brutal beatings, she was killed by her husband’s family.

Over-mowing by many councils has started already. Dandelions, daisies, cuckooflower, clover - lifelines for pollinators - mown down to lifeless, 'tidy' grass deserts. Is your council taking positive action to restore at least 30% of nature, or is it lagging behind?
