Today, as every day, we remember Diogo Jota and André Silva, who tragically passed away one year ago.
Through immeasurable loss and incalculable pain, the impact they made and the legacies they left behind - not only within the footballing world, but in the hearts and minds of so many around the world - has shone through over the last 12 months.
All of our love, support, thoughts and prayers continue to be with Diogo and André's families, friends and all those whose lives were touched by them.
Forever in our hearts, forever our number 20 ❤️
Thank you Keir Starmer 👏
You were the man of the moment, you turned Labour around, cleared out the rot & won a historic victory. Britain is fairer because of you. Sadly the comms didn’t match the achievements & at times the PLP were able to dictate policy #resignation
The first major wave of online misinformation resulted in Brexit, a decision that the majority of economists regard as the most damaging economic choice Britain has made in modern times, making millions of working families poorer.
Now it appears a second wave may succeed in forcing out a democratically elected Prime Minister who in a short timeframe has a track record of delivering policy designed to help millions of working families. Not a perfect man, but certainly one of the better PMs of the last 30 years or so.
A wave of gross & obvious misinformation, spread and amplified by foreign-owned social media platforms, in a deliberate campaign designed to indoctrinate UK citizens, may have toppled a British Prime Minister.
We are going down a very dark path here.
MAGA: “Europeans are freeloaders! We pay for NATO. We pay for everything! We’re leaving.”
Europeans: “Okay. Cheerio.”
MAGA: “We’re packing up! No more handouts. You’ll be screwed without us.”
Europeans: “I’m sure we’ll manage. Bye then.”
MAGA: “Better start learning Russian. You won’t last 15 minutes without us. You’re a bunch of pussies!!!”
Europeans: “Still here?”
MAGA: “We’ve got 300 aircraft carriers and 10 gazillion rockets and space lasers! You europoors still have cannons!”
Europeans: yawn in French, go for three-hour lunch.
MAGA: “USA! USA! USA! You’ll beg us to come back!!!”
Europeans: order a second bottle of Chablis.
Okay, 30p Lee,
Let’s be straight about this.
Are you sending your own kids to fight this war? How much skin have you actually got in the game?
Because it’s always the same story, isn’t it? Men in suits beating the drums, while working-class lads and lasses pay the price. It’s easy to talk tough from a TV studio. It’s easy to posture online. It’s a bit harder when it’s your child in uniform getting on that plane.
British soldiers are not cannon fodder. We lost 457 service personnel in Afghanistan. 457 families changed forever. And for what? So years later, Trump can shrug and say we “stayed a little back”?
Don’t you dare treat British lives like expendable props in some macho fantasy.
You and Trump can both sod off with that nonsense. This country is in the middle of a cost-of-living crisis one cooked up by the very party you proudly stood with. The same crowd who hiked bills, tanked the economy, and told struggling families they could whip up dinner for 30p while claiming a small fortune in expenses at Westminster.
Spare us the lectures.
You talk about patriotism, yet your own party had a leader in Wales, Nathan Gill, exposed for doing the Kremlin’s bidding. Patriots? Don’t make me laugh.
Your morality shifts with the political wind, spinning toward whoever’s paying or polling highest.
🚨FACT CHECK🚨
Claim: “Keir Starmer was issuing WARNING LETTERS to suspected child rapists while head of the CPS instead of charging them.”
What’s missing / misleading:
•Those “warning letters” are typically Child Abduction Warning Notices (CAWNs) (formerly “harbourer’s warnings”). They are issued by police, not by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) or the Director of Public Prosecutions.
•CAWNs are non-statutory safeguarding/disruption tools. Breaching one is not, by itself, a criminal offence. They’re used to disrupt risky adult–child contact, often when there isn’t yet a prosecutable file.
•The CPS does not “charge people by letter.” Prosecutors make charging decisions based on evidence submitted by police. The CPS guidance even treats a CAWN as context/intelligence (e.g., a prior warning can be relevant in later prosecutions), not as a substitute for prosecution.
•The post also claims a “massive development…has just been released” but doesn’t name any report, inquiry finding, court judgment, or official document. Without a specific source, it’s not verifiable as stated.
•More broadly, repeated online claims that Starmer personally blocked grooming gang prosecutions have been checked before; fact-checkers have found no evidence for the specific “he tried to block prosecutions” narrative.
Bottom line: This post conflates a police safeguarding notice (CAWN) with CPS charging decisions, then pins it personally on Starmer. That’s not how the process works, and the post provides no named official “release” to substantiate the allegation.

@canham25390@EE I've had no internet since Saturday. My misses and I both work from home. This is beyond a joke now. I can't just move to virgin to fix the issues. I've had nothing but issues with EE and they never improve just seem to get worse...
