Flying back to Atlanta tonight, I sat next to a Muslim guy. I asked the flight attendant for a shot of tequila. She politely asked him if he’d like a drink.
He looked at her as if she’d insulted his whole family and said, “I’d rather have a dozen whores than let liquor touch my lips.”
I handed the tequila back and said, “I’ll take what he’s having. Didn’t know that was on the menu.”
This is the only story that matters when it comes to Pakistan. 👇
For nearly 3 years former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been in a death cell, and from what the reports suggest, has gone blind in one eye due to torture at the hands of the current brutal military dictatorship in Pakistan. And for last 6 months especially he has been in total isolation facing psychological torture with no meetings with family.
This is how terrorists are treated in prison cells the way former Prime Minister, a Cricketing Hero, and someone who built cancer hospitals for the poorest in the country is being treated.
At the moment there is no proof of his life and has become a missing person by an illegitimate military regime. This unpopular regime is only able to maintain its grip on power through foreign endorsement and backing from Western liberal democracies, Arab Monarchies, and the US that find a compliant military dictator in Pakistan to be more useful than a stable and sovereign democracy.
The ultimate price of a dictatorship is paid by the 240 million people in the country.
Free Imran Khan!

🇬🇷🇮🇳 On Friday, history will be made for air transport between Greece and India as for the first time a direct flight from India will land at Athens International "Eleftherios Venizelos" Airport, inaugurating a new air bridge.
IndiGo is leading the way, directly connecting Mumbai and New Delhi with Athens, bringing two markets with huge potential closer together.
The inaugural flight on January 23 from Mumbai is the result of a strategic choice by IndiGo to dynamically expand into medium and long-haul flights, leveraging a game-changing aircraft, the Airbus A321XLR.
From 23 January 2026, @IndiGo6E will commence direct Mumbai-Athens flights thrice a week, departing Mumbai at 09:50 and arriving in Athens at 14:15. The return flight will depart from Athens at 15:25, arriving in Mumbai at 02:00 the next day.
A day later, on January 24, direct flights from Delhi to Athens will begin, also three times a week. The flight will depart from Delhi at 09:10 and arrive in Athens at 14:25, with the return flight at 16:00 and arrival in Delhi at 03:10 the next day.
With these routes, IndiGo becomes the only Indian carrier to offer direct India-Greece connections, placing Athens on the map of its strategic European destinations.
For AEGEAN, India is the largest new market it has ever attempted to open. The Greek airline has already announced that it will launch direct flights to New Delhi in March 2026 and to Mumbai in May, leveraging the modernization of its fleet with Airbus A321XLR and A321LR.
AEGEAN and IndiGo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for codeshare flights in 2025, paving the way for seamless connections to more than 90 destinations in their networks.
This cooperation is not only about tourism but also aims to strengthen business, cultural, and economic relations between Greece and India, with Athens aspiring to serve as a European gateway for millions of Indian travelers.
For Greek tourism, the direct air connection with India is one of the most important developments in recent years. The Indian market is characterized by rapid growth in outbound tourism, with millions of middle- and high-income travelers seeking new European destinations beyond traditional hubs.
Greece has been essentially outside this flow until now, as the lack of direct flights has acted as a deterrent. With the new flights of IndiGo – and soon of AEGEAN – Athens gains the opportunity to position itself dynamically on the map of city breaks, but also as a gateway to popular island destinations. Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, and Rhodes can now be connected with a single connection, also utilizing the AEGEAN network.
If conditions are favorable, the direct connection between Greece and India could develop into one of the most profitable new tourism corridors of the next decade. However, success will not be determined solely by aircraft and routes, but also by the extent to which visa procedures are streamlined and this new market is supported in practice.
