@Tesco@Tesco - not sure if I need to @ you to get a response ... Is there any way that a disabled person with limited mobility using the Off Peak plan can get access to Christmas delivery slots during the Anytime priority period, or will it have to be luck of the draw on the 21st?
@Tesco Is there any way to pro-rata upgrade from Off Peak to Anytime delivery saver rather than having to wait until the current saver ends, or is the only option having to pay for both during the period of overlap?
@Tesco Hi Arron - thank you for the clarification. Is there any way that a disabled person with limited mobility using the Off Peak plan can get access to Christmas delivery slots during the Anytime priority period, or will it have to be luck of the draw on the 21st?
I just feel the need to make this point. If you are not disabled and don't live with or come into regular contact with disabled people, you have no idea what our lives are truly like. If we tell you why we can't do something like work, it is not up to you to...1
Three years ago today I was preparing to have both my legs amputated following Covid-related sepsis. Amid all the negative media messages labelling disabled people as scroungers and a drain on society, here's your reminder that you too could join our ranks in the blink of an eye.
@Conservatives Cap reduced by £426. Energy support scheme (was £400) removed. Effective annual reduction £26. On bills that have at least doubled under the Conservatives, while the energy companies make millions in profit. We see where your priorities lie.
“Is it wrong for the state to help people with cancer and Parkinson’s not starve to death?”
How the media frames benefit statistics matters. This is toxic baiting language that is proven to increase disability hate crime. Remove it.
I am not at all surprised to learn that the vile, repugnant idea that those deemed too sick to work should have the already too small beneficial support removed from them originated from IDS in the Telegraph. I wonder if he genuinely thinks it’s a career choice!
My daughter has various disabilities.
Her chances of full time employment in this ableist society are nil.
The language used here is terrifying. It belongs to a dark past.
Please don’t come for our sick, please don’t come for our Disabled children.
Be better than this bigot.
It's only since coming on Twitter that I've discovered what a totally repugnant individual Jeremy Vine is. His tweet about long term sick today, was frankly sickening. People don't choose to be in that position, the misfortunes of life and ill health do that.He ought to apologise!
Would you rather we died? Already gone through demeaning assessments, I don't think people who've never experienced the DWP understand how hard it is to actually claim income replacement benefits for having a disability.
There’s been some utterly toxic media about people on out-of-work disability benefits in recent days and I really hope anyone affected is okay. You have greater value and contribute more to society than any journalist who gets paid to produce this trash for a living.
Sounds like a descent towards eugenics. @JeremyVineOn5 - how many people do you think actively choose “too sick to work” as a career choice?! Here’s a clue: not many.
@internetplumber@Janet_LegReg Sad news. He made a lot of the regulatory and legal aspects of networking easier to understand to those of us with a more technical bent.
