Egyptian journalist Mu'taz Matar asked the question that exposes the entire rotten edifice:
"400,000 victims in Yemen.. So why did everyone wake up when Riyadh was bombed?"
Why indeed.
The Numbers That Should Haunt Them
400,000 Yemenis. Dead. Killed by Saudi bombs. Killed by American bombs. Killed by the blockade. Killed by famine. Killed by cholera. Killed by a war that Washington, Riyadh, and Tel Aviv launched and sustained for over a decade.
60% of them were women and children.
17 million Yemenis pushed to the brink of famine. Millions displaced. A whole generation traumatized.
The world did not wake up.
The United Nations did not hold emergency sessions. The UN Security Council did not pass resolutions. The international media did not send their star anchors to Sanaa. The human rights organizations did not flood their feeds with Yemeni names.
400,000 dead. Silence.
Then Riyadh Was Hit
12 dead. 309 wounded.
And the world screamed.
Suddenly, the headlines were everywhere. Suddenly, the UN was "deeply concerned." Suddenly, the Western media found their voice. Suddenly, the same people who couldn't locate Yemen on a map became experts on "Houthi aggression."
12 dead in Riyadh = global crisis.
400,000 dead in Yemen = global silence.
This is not a failure of journalism. This is a deliberate choice. This is racism. This is hypocrisy. This is the value they place on Yemeni life versus Saudi life.
Why the Double Standard?
Because Yemenis are not white. Because Yemenis are not rich. Because Yemenis are not allies of Washington. Because Yemenis are not useful to the Epstein regime.
Because Saudi Arabia is an ally. Because Saudi Arabia buys American weapons. Because Saudi Arabia sells oil. Because Saudi Arabia hosts American bases. Because Saudi Arabia is the Epstein regime.
Because Israel wants Yemen destroyed. Because Israel wants Iran isolated. Because Israel wants the resistance axis broken. Because Israel controls the narrative.
Because the United Nations is a protector of the Epstein regime. Because the UN Security Council is controlled by Washington. Because the UN human rights mechanisms are designed to protect the powerful and punish the weak.
The Truth They Don't Want You to Know
Yemen did not start this war. Saudi Arabia did.
Yemen did not bomb Saudi schools. Saudi Arabia bombed Yemeni schools.
Yemen did not kill 400,000 Saudis. Saudi Arabia killed 400,000 Yemenis.
Yemen did not impose a blockade on Saudi ports. Saudi Arabia imposed a blockade on Yemeni ports.
Yemen did not target Saudi markets. Saudi Arabia targeted Yemeni markets.
Yemen did not strike Saudi mourning halls. Saudi Arabia struck Yemeni mourning halls.
Yemen did not kill Saudi children. Saudi Arabia killed Yemeni children.
Yemen struck back. After 400,000 martyrs. After a decade of siege. After the world refused to act.
And the world screamed.
The Journalist Is Right
Mu'taz Matar is right. The question answers itself.
Everyone woke up when Riyadh was bombed because they never cared about Yemen. They cared about Saudi Arabia. They cared about oil. They cared about their alliance with the Epstein regime.
They did not care about 400,000 Yemeni martyrs. They did not care about 17 million starving. They did not care about the children of Sanaa, Taiz, Hodeidah, Saada, Jawf, Marib, Hajjah, and every other Yemeni province bombed by American-made Saudi warplanes.
They still don't care.
They care about the 12 dead in Riyadh. They care about the 309 wounded. They care about the airport closed. They care about the flights cancelled.
They do not care about Yemen.
What Yemenis Should Do
Remember the 400,000. Remember the silence. Remember the double standard. Remember who screamed and who stayed silent.
And continue the resistance.
The Yemeni armed forces control Bab al-Mandab. They strike Riyadh. They strike Saudi oil facilities. They are advancing in Taiz. They are capturing Saudi mercenaries. They are burning Saudi armored vehicles.
The world screamed when Riyadh was hit. Let them scream. Let them cry. Let them wail.
Yemen has been screaming for a decade. No one listened.
Now they listen. Not because they care about Yemen. Because they are afraid.
Good. Let them be afraid.
Long live Yemen. Long live Ansar Allah. Long live the resistance.
