❇️ Robusta Coffee attracts higher pricing, gaining US$ 48 per tonne
❇️ Arabica loses 4.20 US Cents per tonne

Farm gete prices (in UGX per kilogram) are as follows

FAQ: 11,500-12,500
Drugar: 14,000-15,000
Arabica Parchment: 15,000-16,000
Kiboko: 5,000-5,800

A total of 23,550 bags of coffee were sold on September 10th, 2026, generating a combined volume dominated heavily by Screen 15 Robusta. Meanwhile, the market reflects opposing dynamics, with Robusta futures tracking higher due to weather risks and Arabica futures sliding lower on surplus projections.

❇️ Main Factors Influencing Market Trends for Arabica and Robusta

Robusta: London LIFFE futures climbed (November 2026 up US$ 82 to US$ 3,554 per tonne), fueled by flood fears from heavy rains in Vietnam's Central Highlands.

Arabica: New York ICE futures declined (December 2026 down 3.90 cents to 288.15 US cts/lb) due to ICO projections indicating a global surplus of 3 million bags, with world output hitting 183.6 million bags against 180.6 million bags in demand.

Coffee market analysis is undertaken through the MAAIF Department of Coffee Production and Development in collaboration with partner institutions and market-based companies.
