TLDR: Art as it is + more quality art on Solana + early access to Rubber holders

Rubber collectors have shown a commitment to art. Is a lot of that support speculation? Hell yes, but it got PFP collectors in the door, it got ETH collectors to do their first SOL mints, it got OG collectors talking more about this space. A week in is nothing, but in this space it can feel like a while.

If you have followed my timeline at all you will know that I love art. In particular, Rubber is something that I could spend hours looking through, and I get so much joy hearing other people's takes on pieces and having dialogues around them. I so appreciate everyone sharing pieces and having these conversations with me and others. I want to keep that dialogue strong for this collection, but also for art in general!

There is going to be A LOT of art collections coming out on Solana as everyone is talking about it and let's just say it... there is some hype.

I have spent a decade in crypto, two years living NFT art full time as a collector and over a year as a minting artist. After seeing literal copy-cats, derivatives, and also some good art get released in 24 hours after the Rubber success, I want to do my small part to get great art collections on Solana. I love art and I am personally incentivized to see quality come to this space. So I am referring top artists to platforms, and I am securing WL for Rubber holders when artists think it is a good fit.

I have 3 WLs from artists that have confirmed drops on platforms. First one is February 7th.

10 other artists committed to WLs and in the process of finalizing and securing platform placement.

Most artists are already established with wide collector bases, but also have some very exciting debuts.

I want to also acknowledge that there are many quality artists who have been on Solana a long time, both at the collection and individual 1/1 artist level. Quality art on Solana didn't start this month and goes back years.

Other collections are welcome to WL Rubber holders, but this isn't some passive concept of maybe WLs will happen.

If you think WLs clouds the narrative of Rubber, you may be right. But I have always based my collections on trying to deliver the value I can sustainably. New Wave Surf Club around security (taught a security class just two days ago). Everything since has been about the art including working with favorite artists to drop great Collab editions to County Fair holders at no cost. When I minted Rubber, every previous collector of mine had the ability to get their SOL address in the WL.

I will provide details this week on the mechanics of WL access, but for early WLs, this will be a straight Rubber owner snapshot sometime before release and the art will be released on an established platform so there is no need to click on links. Not all collections can support Rubber collectors interest, so there may be few that could go just to top holders or via raffle. This will be an evolving process as I try to balance sustainability, security and ease of access.

I will not be adding any links to this post. I never do stealth mints or provide opportunities that are time sensitive that I don't preview well in advance. There are several copycat Discord profiles at the moment. I won't DM you on Discord or Twitter unless I publicly mention it first.

Three independent verifiers have come to consensus on an updated list of 113,376 Ordinals addresses that are eligible to receive 1 Runestone.

More independent verifiers are still working to reach consensus but we can now say with a high level of confidence that this is an accurate list based on the eligibility criteria of holding at least 3 non-TXT/JSON inscriptions at the snapshot block height of 826,600.
