Funny incident from today...
A salaried client walked in, completely panicked. He had some Business Trust income but had self-filed an ITR-1. Yesterday he received a Defective Return Notice.
So, naturally he asked me to fix it.
I quoted my fees. His instant reply was "But sir... everything is already filled. You just have to add the Business Trust income. I'll pay fees only one-fourth of that."
I smiled and said, "Sure. First, show me your Form 64B."
He looked at me and asked.. "What's Form 64B?" We opened his email, found the Form 64B, and I pointed at it.
I said, "These 5-6 columns... if you can decode what each one means, where each figure goes in the ITR, how it should be reported and taxed... you can file it yourself."
Silence.
Then came the classic...
"Sir... you do it."
Some ITR filers think they pay us for entering data.
No.
Clients need to realize that they pay us for knowing what to enter, where to enter it, and what happens if it's entered wrong.
Professional fees are not just an expense.
More often than not, they're an investment in getting it right the first time and avoiding a much bigger cost later. 🙏

Tds challan of Tax year new income tax act 2025
wrongly paid In last AY 2026-27
Its online challan correction mechanism has been started or not?
Can any one provide there valuable reply..
Earlier, a businessman who was not covered under GST required two certificates to open a current account in a bank:
MSME Registration Certificate (Udyam Aadhaar/Udyam Registration)
Shop & Establishment Certificate (under the Labour Act)
However, the issuance of Shop & Establishment Certificates has now been discontinued in many cases. As a result, banks often do not open current accounts solely on the basis of an Udyam Registration Certificate.
This has created significant difficulties for many small shopkeepers and micro businesses. The government should pay attention to this issue and issue appropriate guidelines to banks so that genuine small businessmen can open current accounts without unnecessary hardship.
Any one facing issue of Tds Return filling Receipt not generated and the same is considered as FY 2026-27 N.A. reflecting thereby form submitted on income tax portal Tds filling

S.194T-(TDS on remuneration/int to partners) may create needless cash flow stress for many MSME partnership firms from Financial Year 2025–26.
Example: Two partners receive 10 lakh each as remuneration / interest from firm.Firm deducts 2 lakh as TDS u/s 194T, but partners may still end up claiming full refund as final tax liability may be nil (No tax on normal income upto 12 Lacs)
Money blocked first, refunded later.
No lower/nil deduction facility u/s 197/197A appears available for S.194T
@IncomeTaxIndia may kindly consider a giving lower/no deduction facility for S.194T
Dhurandhar 3 – Plot
Here is the plot for Dhurandhar 3, written by

After ensuring the safety of his wife and child by sending them to Vancouver, Canada, Hamza (Jaskeerat Singh Rangi) returns to India. He is briefed by Sanyal, who reveals that the MLA responsible for his father’s murder has deep links with the Khalistani separatist group SFJ (Sikhs for Justice). Sanyal informs him that the key figures behind the group are Hardeep Singh Nijjar, based in Canada, and Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, operating from the United States.
Hamza is given a new identity- Nikhil Gupta, a Gujarati civilian businessman and is dispatched to Canada on a high-stakes mission.
Nijjar, despite being a prominent political figure in Canada, is primarily involved in narcotics trafficking. Nikhil successfully infiltrates his gang and quickly gains his trust. During this time, he encounters Ripudaman Singh, the man responsible for bombing an Indian airplane 40 years earlier. Nikhil eliminates him.
Following Nijjar’s orders, Nikhil travels to London for a drug deal, where he meets Avtar Singh Khanda, the Khalistani extremist known for desecrating the Indian flag. Nikhil poisons and kills him as well. On Nikhil’s intelligence input, an Indian agent in Pakistan named Rizwan eliminates another key Khalistani operative, Paramjeet Singh in Lahore
Nikhil also sees his wife Yelina and his kid in Canada but he doesn't meet them
Eventually, Nikhil confronts Nijjar. In a major showdown in the parking lot of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, Canada, Nikhil kills him. The assassination sends shockwaves through the CIA and the Five Eyes intelligence alliance.
Nikhil’s final target is Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, based in New York. He attempts to assassinate him, but Pannun is saved by the CIA. Nikhil is subsequently arrested by the CIA in Prague. During interrogation, the CIA discovers that Nikhil’s main handler is Bansal, whose real name is Vikas Yadav.
The CIA initiates extradition proceedings, but Sanyal intervenes by having Nikhil arrested in India under the pretext of due judicial process, effectively stalling the handover.
When Sanyal requests the CIA Director to release Nikhil, the request is arrogantly refused and mocked. In response, Sanyal arrests CIA assets, Van Dyke and his associate. He then calls the CIA Director again with the iconic “Rasputin” song playing in the background and warns that he will expose the CIA’s covert involvement in Libya, the Arab Spring, and Myanmar.
Faced with the threat, the CIA immediately agrees to send Nikhil Gupta back to India.
A relative of my client today called me for 4 Networth Certificates of his family for giving it to the bank.
I saw the ITR & Balance Sheet as on 31.03.2025, each having an Income of more than 50 Lakhs and Capital Balance of more than 15 Crore.
I quoted 15k for each certificate.
What the person said actually shocked me.
"He said our regular CA has quoted 5k for each certificate which I felt was high so I had contacted you and you are quoting much higher fees"
I simply said please get it done from your regular CA, I can't lower it.
Some few points I noticed in this case:
1. The client isn't loyal to anyone, if the other CA quotes a Rs 1000 less client will go there.
2. People earning in crores, still try to get a discount of Rs 1000/- or 2000/-
3. People nowadays to save a very few bucks can share their financial data with anyone & everyone.

Tax Audit Due Date – Immediate Extension is Imperative
@IncomeTaxIndia
Ground Realities:
1️⃣ Compressed Audit Window
>Non-audit ITR due date was shifted to 16 Sept 2025.
>Barely 10 working days remain for hundreds of audits that ordinarily need 60 days. ITS IMPRACTIAL AND INHUMAN
2️⃣ Portal Disruptions
>Frequent outages, DSC glitches, and AIS/TIS sync issues between 11–16 Sept and its still going on.
3️⃣ Late Utilities & Mid-Cycle Updates
>Audit Form 3CA/3CB/3CD utility released only on 14 Aug 2025. Schema/utility changes continued till mid-September, consuming precious audit time.
4️⃣ Disaster & Disruption
>Floods and rains in multiple states crippled power, connectivity, and office access.
5️⃣ Compliance Overload
>Overlapping deadlines: GSTR 3B, statutory audits, GST 2.0 reforms
>Festive-season holidays ( Navratri & diwali) further reduced effective working days.
6️⃣ Stakeholder Consensus
>Multiple associations have urged for 30 Nov 2025 (TAR) and 15 Dec 2025 (Audit ITRs), recognising widespread systemic challenges.
SO WE REQUEST SAME TO EXTEND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
