Dario Amodei (CEO of Anthropic) is warning that AI is getting smarter so fast that we’re about to outrun our ability to keep it safe.
Elon agrees. They’re basically begging the government and regulators to step in!
Here’s what he’s actually worried about:
> AI systems that can hack computers, take over parts of the internet, and knock out banks or power grids
> AI becoming good enough at science that someone could use it to design dangerous biological weapons
> AI starting to build even smarter AI on its own, until we can no longer understand or control it
> All of this happening faster than governments, laws, and safety research can keep up
Yikes!
Ok this is starting to feel like a f*cking disaster.
The CEO of Anthropic just published an article admitting AI is already building the next generation of AI by itself.
He says within 6 to 12 months a rogue swarm could take over the entire internet and cause hundreds of billions of dollars in damage.
And what makes it scarier, Elon Musk just backed up everything Dario said.
All of this dropping just days after Jacob Coxon went viral with his warning about AI and the extinction of humanity.
Tell me this timing isn't strange.
The de-dollarization trend appears to be far from global:
The US Dollar’s proportion of official global FX reserves is down to 57%, its lowest in at least 30 years.
This percentage has declined -20 points since 1999, with China and, to a lesser extent, Russia driving much of the decline.
Over the same period, the combined proportion of the 4 major reserve currencies, the US Dollar, Yen, Euro and Pound, has fallen -12 percentage points, to ~87%, also its lowest in at least 30 years.
Meanwhile, roughly equal numbers of countries increased and decreased their US Dollar reserves between 2015 and 2023.
Therefore, the decline is heavily concentrated among a small number of reserve holders, suggesting the US Dollar's position in most reserve portfolios remains relatively stable.
The threat to the US Dollar’s reserve currency status appears limited.
BREAKING: The number of 401(k) accounts with balances of $1 million or more rose +19% in Q2 2026, to a record 769,000, according to Fidelity.
This marks the largest quarterly increase since Q4 2023, fueled by a +15% S&P 500 gain last quarter, its strongest quarterly performance since 2020.
Average 401(k), 403(b), and IRA balances on Fidelity’s platform also rose to their highest levels on record, while workplace retirement savings rates remained near their records.
Despite this, worker confidence about having enough money for a comfortable retirement fell to its lowest since 2017.
This comes as Americans now say they need $1.46 million on average to retire comfortably, according to Northwestern Mutual.
Rising household debt, living costs, and concerns about Social Security, whose trust fund is estimated to be depleted by 2032, are increasingly weighing on how prepared workers feel.
Own assets or be left behind.
Japan’s 10 year bond crosses 3% and US 4.8%. As their government debt and deficits go up, central banks may have no option but to expand balance sheets( print money). If so, inflation goes up, short end rates go up. Be ready for a roller coaster ride in interest rate markets!
Anthropic's CEO, Dario Amodei:
"50% of all entry-level Lawyers, Consultants, and Finance Professionals will be completely wiped out within the next 1–5 years."
In 47 minutes, he explains exactly who survives and how.
This is the whole difference between watching AI take your industry and becoming the person companies desperately need.
Watch it. Then read the guide below on how to become the "AI guy" these companies need.
While reading a book on the beginnings of Open AI, was struck with the utter chaos inside it.
Musk 's threats. Altman 's plentiful issues. No plan. No clarity. Losing ground to Google Deep Mind. Around '16-'17 era.
It's around that time that Vishal Sikka wanted Infy to invest ~1 billion into it
By any logical standpoint, it was an ultra high risk bet. NRN opposed it. Probably rightly so.
But the larger point is: most Indian IT cos are South Indian owned. That state pop is inherently conservative and that is why none of them took big moon shot bets.
That is the real reason, not that they did not see AI coming.
Interestingly, HCL Tech has invested a large amount in Sarvam.
HCL is South Indian owned, all right.
But Delhi upbringing ( HCL was founded and HQd in Delhi. Strong North Indian state pop traits visible.) has made it more aggressive than the rest.
And the iconic CEO being Vineet Nayar, a Punjabi, also helped re-shape core traits into a more aggressive north Indian personality.
Remember the HCL 's outbidding of Infosys in 2008 , of Axon plc, the UK company.
That was Punjabi aggro on display.
Infosys didn't up its bid even 10% and walked away.
State Pop Traits matter.
A lot.
And that is why Indian corporates do not invest in Tech, R&D.
The dominators, the mercantile class, Gujus, Marwadis, Banias, Jains are generally not highly science oriented, even if they have got science degrees.
While the Tam Brams and Bengalis, lack the risk taking, to engage in Tech endeavors, despite being India's ONLY truly scientific brains.
The fact that 60% of India's top 50 scientists are from these two State Pops,is reasonable proof of this, amongst plenty others.
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
