For the last several weeks on most days, the front page of almost all newspapers in Tamil Nadu (English and Tamil) is a full page ad glorifying the State Government schemes. All paid for by the tax payer.
I remember when the AIADMK Govt did this 5 years ago there was an outcry. Now there is total silence.
No wonder the media is compromised. When their survival depends on Govt ads they aren't likey to feature stories critical of the hand that feeds them.
