IT IS 2023 AND I AM ADMITTING THAT I HAVE NO INTENTION OF READING EVERY BOOK I BUY. I LIKE COLLECTING THEM. I LIKE HAVING LOTS OF THEM AROUND. I LIKE BEING SURROUNDED BY STORIES AND POSSIBILITIES. I WANT A LIBRARY. I AM NOT A BOOK MINIMALIST LEAVE ME ALONE (WITH MY BOOKS).

When you finally move from Interimaire to Contract Agent.

6.2°C is 11°F above normal. Keep in mind water has more than 4X the heat capacity of air which means it’s much harder for water to warm than air.

A 6.2°C sea surface temperature anomaly in the Mediterranean is simply astonishing.

[Colin McCarthy @US_Stormwatch]

Europe is not just experiencing heatwaves on land.

The Mediterranean Sea is experiencing a brutal marine heatwave this July, which will have devastating impacts on marine ecosystems while also enhancing heatwaves on land.

Water temperatures are as high as 6.2°C above normal!

[Panic! at the Discourse @kinjaldave7]

british people struggling in this heat wave... stay strong... your ancestors colonized entire countries in this heat 💕💕💕

@Eurostar your app says this Friday’s train 11:31 from London to Paris is cancelled.

I wish to book another train but your app says no seats available.

Why have you not emailed?

Are other trains running?

@larry_turner I'm struggling to understand why woke is being used as an insult.
If being woke means you have empathy for other ppl then bring it on. If more ppl were 'woke' perhaps we wouldn't like in such a toxic society

I have updated and added to my thread on resignation letters by the Prime Minister's advisers citing legal and ethical failings on part the PM and his Government.

While in the EU, the UK outsourced a large quantity of government and regulatory functions to the Commission and EU agencies. Now the UK has left, it has brought these functions back in-house. Hence the need for more civil servants.

(This really isn’t difficult.)

By refusing to conform to the nicey nicey woman so so happy happy to be home, and so so grateful to Liar Johnson and Lizzy Instatruss narrative, she deserves huge praise. But just watch the Brextremist press start to turn …

@LeanneS91659153 @TowerOfLondon @HRP_palaces Me too! Could you please let us know when we can book today's release of tickets for the Ceremony of Keys? I keep refreshing your page, but the tickets aren't visible. It still says "Tickets for 1 -31 August 2021 will be available to book from 15 July 2021."

[Aniek @akcview]

@DanRebellato what was the original text? :)

[Aniek @akcview]

@TowerOfLondon @HRP_Palaces Good morning! I'd like to book tickets to experience the Ceremony of the Keys. Please, could you confirm when today's tickets will be released?

The currently says "Tickets for 1 -15 August 2021 will be available to book from 15 July 2021."

[Aniek @akcview]

@hannahdean_92 I'd pay for that! @bbctennis or @TennisPodcast could you please remind Castle that Andy was the first British *MALE* singles player to win Wimby singles in 70+years ! He forgets Virginia Wade won singles in 1977.

[Aniek @akcview]

@NakedProds @DanRebellato @BBCRadio3 @tanyamoodie This was rivetting! Thank you!

I stopped in my tracks, and sat, listening to this. I enjoyed the modern-dress production, and the use of Radiohead.

I'm now keen to see a production of the original French text. Dan, any tips?

[Aniek @akcview]

@NellLeyshon @Amanda_Wilkin @stumcloughlin @Hamps_Theatre Loved it. Stopped me in my tracks. And I sat listening, until the credits. I especially loved how Louie Hooper spoke of how the songs were hers, her sister's and her mother's. A powerful reminder.

March 31: Heatwave in London.
April 5: Snow in London.

[Alistair Magowan @alistairmagowan]

Just your regular reminder that it doesn’t officially snow in the UK until it snows in London! Happy Easter ⛄️
