A couple of months ago, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life: I left my cushy, high-paying (₹1 Cr+) job without another offer in hand.
No plan. No backup. Just the decision that I needed a break—a real one—for the first time in my decade-long career.
Why is it best to try and stop eating 3 hours before bedtime?
To repair and rejuvenate, our organs require a fasted state. Eating initiates complex cellular processes for digesting and converting food, putting the body in 'digest mode' rather than 'repair mode.'
Even after our stomach completes digestion, our intestines and liver spend several additional hours absorbing and distributing nutrients. Thus, while our brain rests and repairs during sleep, our other organs continue digesting the last meal for about 5 hours.
Ceasing to eat 3 hours before bedtime, combined with 8-9 hours of sleep, ensures your organs receive at least 6-7 hours dedicated to repair and rejuvenation.
